I think for me it was that it took so long to find one in my area. Then my wife, who doesn't really "get" the excitement of geocaching, bought me a three Gecko set from Landsharkz for Christmas and I think I was hooked from there. I like the weight and feel in my hand, love the different finishes, and of course all the different colors and designs.

Yesterday was a pair of Avroair Aviators and today was a pair of the MR. JIFFY Summer Meltdown coins. Super nice pairs of coins.

As far as I have ever read in all the forums and the TB/Geocoin rules it is pefectly fine to grab them anytime you want. They are outside the realm of "swag" so they do not have to be traded for. They are set out as travellers and as such if you can help them keep tracking mileage I am sure the owners of the trackables would be much happier to see them move than to sit and wait for another "inmate" to have to be able to travel again. I see absolutely nothing wrong with what you did and would do it myself if I knew at the time I was going to be able to help them along on their travels. kayn_os

Wow, I dont know what I would do in a situation like that. Did you find out anything about this person? Was he dead for awhile? It's interesting to read the logs after yours, like nothing happened... life does move on. He had been depressed for a while and I guess thought that this was his only way out. He had been missing only a few days but was hanging I would say less than 48 hours. There was no smell and no animal damage that was visible. It was pretty intense.

I'd like to hop on board and represent Canada or one of the random slots. I myself prefer the plastic coated aircraft cable with a laminated mission statement, but am also looking at some new options to try to add more durability and originality.

I found one this year. A guy hung himself and I was the person that found him as he hung himself almost directly above the cache or where I figure it is. I still haven't been back to it yet so it is still a DNF for me. GCG9M9. I will go back some day but I haven't worked up the guts yet. You can read my April 23 log for some of the details.

Two days ago I got my two Halloween Compass Rose coins and my full set of Musketeers in antique copper. Love these versions of the compass rose.

Yesterday I got my 3 yimes in and also got my 3 Mario Bros Ghosts. My two kids haven't put the ghosts down since, especially since I showed my 4 year old daughter that it glowed.

I'm in. Add me to the list for sure.

Mine have to be the Tony Hawk series of skateboard games. As I got older I realized it was almost as fun to skateboard on screen and there was no PAIN when you fell. I know that no matter what it would never match the pain that DK could dish out. I also had a short run with the Mega- man series.

I went to the mail not expecting anything today. I am hiking the highest peak in Ontario on Saturday with a huge group of cachers and had resigned myself to the fact that I would most likely not get anything new before I left Friday. Wrong!!! Got my The Puzzle Cache coins in. Two in N and one in G. At least I have some new coins to show at the hike. P.S. It's Ishpatina Ridge for anyone interested. (GCYYQR)

you got a centris! i wrote about a trade but never heard back from the owner/trader. love that coin! lara ...I traded my personal to the owner/trader & they never sent me their coin..... CF30 each time i log in, this is at the top of the page and each time i read it, it ticks me off. that is theft, pure and simple. we are such trusting folks, send off coins (our hard-earned money) and trust that the receiver is going to live up to their end of the bargain and send a coin back. when they don't, their names should be posted! lara I had asked if there was a feedback thread anywhere in another thread and this is why. On a lot of other forums I am on where trading goes on there is a feedback list of people that trade and if they are a deadbeat or a decent trader. I know a lot of the time it can turn into a flame session but for people like me just staring out at least it would give us a heads up if I might get screwed over. Just my Canadian .04 cents which works out to about .02 cents US.

Today was a parcel from GBOTS with a Legend of the Sand Dollar Silver, Team Sand Dollar 2007 BN, and a Team Sand Dollar 2006 AS. Once I get around to taking pics maybe I could post them

Got my da Vinci set in today. Woot. Now I can work harder on solving the puzzle. I think I have a lot of it done I just wanted the coins so I could see the details better and because they are really nice ......and because they are coins

Being as how I am a nickle miner the Black Nickle and Nickle finishes are my fave. Since the BN looks like it'll be pretty excusive I ordered two of the Nickle and one gold. I love these coins and hope it ends up being a long lasting series.

Well I did a search for it but I never got the answer I was looking for or a link to anything like I wanted. What I want to know is this, Is there a thread or archive of trader feedback? I am on a lot of other forums and for all the sale and trade areas there is a feedback area that at least gives people that are new (like me) a heads-up on a specific trader. I understand it can turn into a flame thread but it seems that there are a lot of mature people here that wouldn't turn it into that. If there is already a thread, can someone point me in that direction. Thanks, kayn_os
