    placed an order for an AE, hope i did everything right,, i dunno what vat ment but i payed for it??..lol just wanted to make sure i payed for what i was susposto pay for in order to get the coin!!

    Customers outside of the European Union shops tax free on PolarDesign and will therefore not be charged for any tax. The 25% VAT will be excluded from the total amount when you choose your country in the shopping cart during checkout.

    Burn out

    In the rain outside Lousanne in Switzerland I left the highway and parked near a restaurant. My rain gear was i rags after a previous incident.

     

    Sniff, Sniff, what is that smell?!

     

    When I turn around I see smoke rising from the right packing bag. I open the lid and face a fiery inferno!

    The contents immediately flaming up in the strong wind. I tear off the bag from the bike and trying to save what can be salvaged from fire hungry jaws. I rescued an oil bottle from the flames and a tool bag. I run after a pair of flaming underwear blowing away. Well, it just gets less to wash when I get home, I reasoned.

     

    A middle-aged couple comes bye and wonder if I need any help. They had a window table in the restaurant and saw my "show" from the first row. I eye up towards the restaurant and see that the restaurant wall consists of an enormous panoramic windows. Lots of people with their nose against the window. Maybe I should go and take the entrance fee I think to myself?

    Instead, I kicked a little on what was left of my shoes and said there goes my best shoes up in smoke.

    • Pre-order period ended
    • Order for coins have been sent to the mint
    • Pre-sale for Extra coins have started at PolarDesign.se

    Note:

    - The mint is now closed for the Chinese New Year. Will open again 2nd Feb.

    - Mint says: "The delivery is abt 20 days apart from our New Year holidays"

    - Apart from the pre-ordered coins I have ordered some Extra coins. These are the coins now on pre-sale.

    Yes, they are still available.

    You have to agree on the pre-sale terms to put the coins in the cart.

    I ordered some. Just curious why a remint takes 4 weeks. It should take about 2 weeks.

    Not during Chinese New Year.

     

    That's the day you cut the presale. So even a week for it. 4 weeks still seems rather long.

    Well, I don't want to promise to much.

    I don' have the actual shipping date from the mint yet. I will keep you informed.

    I notice that I cannot purchase the antique nickel version (the one I really want) unless I purchase a whole set. :D Why is that? Shouldn't the black & white AE version be the one you cannot get unless you buy the whole set? Makes more sense to make that one rarer... To me anyhoo... :angry:

     

    How long is the presell going to go on? :D

    There are no hard to get limited edition Birka.

    They are all in the set or sold separately.

    Nenne_ wanted the special black and white version to be her AE version.

     

    - The pre-sale will run until next sunday. 25th Jan.

    - The Birka geocoins will then be ordered from the factory.

    - Extra coins will also be ordered.

    - The extra coins will be on pre-sale until they run out or the manufactured coins arrive.

    Wait... now I'm really confused. :D On the geocoin.se site you have the gold colored blueprint labeled antique nickel and on the Polar Design site the same blueprint is being sold as antique bronze. Which is correct? Which one do I need to order to get the antique nickel one? :D I really don't want to think I'm ordering one and end up with the other. :angry:

    There are no Antique Nickel version. I wrote that in mistake at the geocoin.se page (corrected now)
