Hello all, Just a quick note - after discovering geocaching 3 weeks ago, for something to do with my 2 boys over the summer (maybe see my previous post), I am 26 down and several more DNF. My question is - and apologies if I'm answering my own question - but if I contact landowners for permission to stash a cache, but received no reply, do I go ahead and hide a cache anyway and plead ignorance? I did contact other NIEA places and after 2 weeks, no reply to a yes or a no. Bottom line, my gut feel says no. But anyone else been in this situation? Cheers.

Good day all, Firstly apologies if this is not the correct forum. So after accidentally finding (um I mean googling) geocaching, while trying to find things for my 2 boys to do over the summer, I am definitely obsessed... No, addicted... Oh wait... Both. After only 5 days and 10 cache finds (another 12 dnf), I find my every waking moment is taken up with this new found hobby. I've even read the guidelines on hiding your own cache.... Houston, we have contact (with landowners) and well on my way to hiding my first caches. I find myself looking around everywhere, for potential stash sites. Now I can understand to muggles, this is bizarre behaviour, I've never been happier. I hope to continue this until the day I die. Cheers all @GordonTheBeast (okay if I add my twitter handle)
