  1. I was actually thinking about getting a geocaching.com premium membership, but I don't know if it's worth it? How many people have this? And what do I get as benefits?
  2. Well, I found "Souvenir Penny Cache" and "Kateys Cute Cache." Those were both relatively easy (though it does bother me that the latter one has horrible grammar ) The other two I've attempted I couldn't even get close to, so I'm not going to worry about them until the white stuff thaws
  3. Man, I really miss the NGA forums right now. I also miss my computer....I'm still at my sister's house....dang dial-up. You know, it makes me feel pretty danged good that rusty and everybody else is concerned about my well-being. The community created through geocaching really is a great thing. On a separate note: Snow-caching is HARD! Holy crap....but yeah, I'll get better, eventually
  4. I know it's already been said, but I HIGHLY recommend you do "Las Vegas' Amazing Cache." This is the most fun cache I have ever done. But guaranteed, you will get dirty...especially since the entire state is under one big storm
  5. Wow, that is really quite impressive. Hell, I don't even have 130 done since I've started playing!
  6. Well, I've finally reached 50, on "Pueblo Micro #2" 12/30/04 YAY! And I'm going to set a goal: reach 100 before the end of the spring semester (meh, around early May.) Shouldn't be to hard, even with my studies getting in the way
  7. Wow, those are mighty large numbers. I feel kind of inadequite. It sounds like a lot of them are in California, mostly Bay Area. And I have cacheed near there, in Roseville, and the caches are very dense in location. I think if I spent a solid whole day caching there I could find quite a bit
  8. Hey, I was just wondering what peoples personal records are for the most caches found in one day. For me: 9 in a span of 5 hours (this was with three other people) let's hear what everybody else has to say
  9. I see. Okay, thanks for the advice. I'm not quite savvy to the hint-etiquette
  10. I was wondering if anybody knew how to do a locationless cache. I have a great idea, but I can't find out how to start one on the website. Please help
  11. Holy crap, people. I've been stuck on these few puzzles for at least a week, and it's killing me that I can't figure them out. If you have, or can decrypt stuff easily, please help. They are in Las Vegas. They are: Alien Artifact (by VegasCacheHounds) Difficulty: 4.5 Decrypt (by Boris and Natasha) Difficulty: 1 **with this one, it's not a matter of difficulty, it's a matter of not being able to find any of the dates needed to solve the puzzle Up-n-at'em Pardner, C'mon! (by FlyinV) Difficulty: 3 So, if anybody out there can offer some advice, please help ~~matbluvenger
  12. well....um....that's me. it's odd, though: i don't usually use that as my avatar. usually it's the cartoon version of me screaming and holding his eyes.
  13. It's....um....me! With a....um....perplexed look on my face. OMGLOLWTFBBQSAUZ!!!!!!1111oneELEVEN
  14. I want to hear what has happened to fellow cachers on their travels. A little pet peeve of mine is that, living in the desert, there are a lot of jack rabbits, and for some reason these buggers like to run out into the street JUST as you're driving by. After a very unsuccessful day of caching (1/4 found) I was rather tired, and on the way home, a HUGE jack rabbit tears across the road, and I slam on my breaks. Normally, if I wasn't so tired, I'd have just kept going, but it just startled me, forcing me to break. And my friend next to me just so happened to have a slurpee , which he was holding between his legs. Needless to say, that slurpee went everywhere in my car, and the floor of the passenger is still stick and smells of Hawaiian Punch.
  15. Second try and still no luck =( Kind of frustrating!
  16. FEH, I'm a sand rat (Vegas) and I can't even count how many times I've fallen/stepped/etc on cacti. Depending on your body type, it should clear up in any time between a couple days to around two weeks. Good luck though, eh!
  17. yeah, I figured it would be somewhere around the electrical box. I'll try again soon. thanks for the hint
  18. Hey, I just put up my first cache. Could you all visit so I can feel special that people actually want to visit my cache
  19. Hey people, Las Vegas native matbluvenger (check me out at the main site. AND GO TO MY NEW CACHE, "Can you lend some spare change?"!!) I do have a question, though. If anybody knows where it is, could I have a hint on "Turning Over a New Leaf." I tried for at least 30 minutes (maybe more) and I just could not find it. Any suggestions?
