I really want an automotive GPS that I can import the full GPX file and see all the logs, hints and description. Does anyone out there own a Magellean Roadmate and know if you can do this? I see that magellean has a poi loader program, so I assume it gets the waypoints in, but not sure if it got the description and logs. If so, when you import your GPX and are driving down the road, does it show where all of your caches are as you are drving past them? I want to display only my custom poi's ( in this case the gpx geocaches ). Im asking about if the magellean does this because it has the AAA Tourbook data which looks really good. If you are not a magellean fan, do you have a Auto GPS that does the things above? thanks

This is a great thanksgiving treat. I have been looking for some methods on how to do this for awhile. Let us know if you have a blog that you regularly post your findings. I want to have my own kml file with links to my pictures and embed that in my web pages. questions How did you create the KML? did you write it by hand, or use a program to convert from something else. I know of an Excel to KML converter. any suggestions? Im a programmer and not afraid of writrng raw kml, but would rather not if I dont have to. any links, books or examples you look at for inspiration? thanks for the great info.
