The rich, if not famous, pop $50 and get the CD . The rest of us do the following at the NGS site: 1. Do the search. 2. Select all the interesting PIDs 3. Push the 'Move' button 4. Edit:Select All 5. Edit:Copy Then move over to Excel and do this... 1. Paste into $A$1 2. Select column A 3. Data:Text to Columns... 4. Follow the instruction on the Wizard, being sure to indicate the | as the delimiter. 5. Save as CSV hope that helps... M&M

Are you sure the comma isn't a period? I bopped over to TopoZone and took a peek at the map. The BM looks to be right near 480 feet. The altitude of 484.382 makes a lot more sense. I'm out west, and spend a fair amount of time in the mountains. I've seen some seemingly outrageous precisions placed in BM's on mountain summits, not unlike what I think we have here.

It seems to me that this is a good concept for a new category to go along with found and not found. Perhaps it could be called Gone, but not forgotten. It would cover those instances described in this thread. It would also indicate at a glance that the darn thing has definately disappeared. My favorite example, as posted by bdgroves, is SY4578. There's plenty-o-proof of it's demise...BAM
