  1. Just bumping this thread up. This is the answer to the other post I just left. Thank God, something that works!!! Only took downloaded three other mac programs to find this one. Mac people, rejoice! Just plug it in the usb and click the button that says "to GPS." The mac thread in the FAQ should be updated to include this MacCaching software.
  2. Do I seriously need a serial port to do this? I can't just plug the USB into the laptop and use any variety of Mac waypont-managing software to upload waypoints to the GPS? My IT-trained hubby and I, both power PC & Mac users, have not been able to find a tutorial for how to get started w/ the GPS + Mac combination (that seems current), and we've downloaded every available plug-in and software. Do they even still make serial ports? Really? I am completely flabbergasted and feeling like we just wasted a lot of $ that we could have used toward the kids' Christmas, on a gps unit that we can't even really use. I don't get it. Someone please help, I am getting depressed! I think printing out the caches on the printer and geocaching that way was easier than this. Please tell me there's something simple I'm missing, or if it seriously requires stone age equipment to use a this GPS w/ the Mac.
