Can't Mark a Geocache as Found anymore
jeffster220 replied to The Dark Knight's topic in GPS technology and devices
Make sure you have it set for "Off Road" . -
Are wifes think alike I did the same thing and it works great with GSAK and Cachemate. You will need the software for the Palm, if you can't locate the disk you can download it from palms website

Have you tried using the "Map It" option? I find it easier to plan out my day using the map.

I agree , I have been using the Rayovac Hybrid batteries the last couple of months and they work great and also bought them at my local Target store -
The biggest problem that I had finding the first couple cashes with my new 60CSx was not putting the unit in "Off Road". I have City Nav. maps on it and didn't know that I had to put the unit in the "Off Road" mode. I thought I had a bad unit and was going to send it back and just keep using my old GPS 12. Thanks to the people on this site I have figured my new GPS out. Also the user manual is useless. Good luck with your new 60 and go have some fun with it.

I do a lot of fishing at night and I like the LED Head Lamps that clip on the bill of a baseball cap. I don't like the ones that have the straps that go around your head. Just my 2 cents

Geocaching Mode on Garmins
jeffster220 replied to Phipps Family's topic in GPS technology and devices
The 60CSX will record your cache finds, but not log them for you. To have the GPSr record your finds use the Find-Geocache-GoTo. after you goTo the cache use the compass page and follow the red arrow to the cache. Once you locate the cache at the bottom of the screen is a Found button, highlite that and press OK..that will change the icon to an open treasure chest and date/timestamp the find. You need to go to the geocaching.com page and record and log your find. Hope that helps. I have(got for Christmas) a GPS 60CSx and have found a few cashes and have not seen an option at the bottom of the compass screen to mark (open the treasure chest) when I reach ground zero. I use "Find-Geocache-GoTo" and have not seen the option you talk about. -
Scratched the stinking screen already.

I put the Invisible Shield on my new 60 CSx and on my cell phone. Great product! -
