  1. That is a premium member feature,so once you sign on as a premium member you get all kinds of goodies that go along with the membership and instant notifications is one of many of those member benefits. It's only 30$ yearly for an annual membership, well worth the cost IMHO.
  2. Too bad you don't live in Maine, you could just strap it to the bottom of any vehicle in the fall and when spring comes around you could almost guarantee it will be totally rusted up....
  3. Let's not forget Preacherspal here in the Myrtle beach area: http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=80...5b-e921071e063e

  5. It's whatever you want it to be as far as I am concerned.

  10. Lancaster SC 29720 63 total 36 unfound by me, most of those are micros so I'm not too fast on getting those 27 found by me and out of that 27 found by me there are 19 archived.
  11. I wouldn't say you are a very active cacher either considering you have been a member for 2 years and have only found 5 caches....
  12. Sounds like the datum isn't set correctly or you didn't allow it to adjust to the location. It should be set to WGS 84
  13. Depends on who the reviewer is I guess? Seems they each have their own view of what the guidelines are to be interpreted. Maybe double backing tape instead of glue would suffice. Just a thought!!!
  14. Speaking of oldest caches, does anyone keep a bookmark list of all the states oldest caches?
  15. Thanks Droo, they were the ones and it is now activated.
  16. Tried them,no code available from them either. Here is a photo of the coin.
  17. Hey all,I received a CITO geocoin at an event as a prize a year or so ago and it hasn't been activated and I have no activation code for it. It does have a trackable # for gc.com but without the activation code I can't do much with it. Any ideas how I can find the activation code? It is a CITO coin dated 4/14/2007 if that is any help. Would anyone know who made them that year? Thanks Haffy
  18. It is done all the time.Go for it!!!The cache owners usually post the pictures on the cache page after the camera is filled.
  19. This is for sale items and not the category that you need. You might try the one up above this one "GPS and TECHNOLOGY"
  20. No socks. Socks would be slippery against the sandal footbed, and they'd retain sweat and stickers. Most of the benefit of sandals lies in allowing air circulation that dries and cools your sweaty feet. Start with short hikes on easy trails and work up from there. Probably the best way to get started is to strap a pair of sandals to your pack; when your feet start to feel hot and sweaty, switch out of your boots or shoes and into the sandals for awhile. What would you recommend for a good hiking sandal?
  21. You might also want to check out this site: http://www.whiteblaze.net/ A lot of good answers can be found there as well.
  22. I would say just to get in touch with your local reviewer and ask him/her. They are usually quite accomodating in this regard. I know our reviewer will do this.
