  1. Thanks for the info ... I just purchased the 2Gb from Kingston
  2. I have a Garmin 60CSx and it came with a 128mb MicroSD card ... I plan to add the street maps from Ibycus and perhaps the Garmin Topo maps ... I'd like to load them all (makes it easier traveling) instead of specific areas ... what size MicroSD card would be appropriate? For the cost I can get a 4gb for about $2.00 more than a 2gb so I figured thats the way to go, just looking for opinions for those that have already upgraded the micro card. Thanks
  3. They are photo keychains ... try Wal*Mart or a craft store such as AJ Moore or Michaels if they are in your area. Also, one of the big department stores may have them in their Photo Studio, but probably more expensive.
  4. I've used this name on several "boards" where I belong ... its where we live and our favorite pastime. MD ... Maryland Kamper ... currently in a Forest River Wildcat 5th Wheel
  5. Thanks to everyone ... all the "pointers" are much appreciate as we learn our way in this fun family sport.
  6. How should the Garmin 60CSx be setup? We purchased a 60CSx approximately two weeks ago and since then we've searched out 10 caches, finding nine and one DNF of a micro. We have been using the "map" and the distance to "distance to destination" to zero in on the location. On the compass feature (yes I have calibrated it) isn't there a way to set the "pointer" (red arrow) to point towards the destination, ours seems to point opposite it. Als do most people set the feature to "Track Up" or "North Up" ? Any suggestions on basic setup features to use would be appreciated.
  7. Looking for advice, suggestions on my idea. As a newbie, I'm looking for pointers and ways to improve my idea to make it an enjoyable experience. Is it easy to follow/understand? As a fan of the game poker and newly excited about geocaching I have the following idea for a cache/poker experience that I hope would be entertaining to everyone. Note, no actual gambling involved. We do this as a family experience and would like this to be seen in that respect. KINDER POKER Based on the card game, Five-Card Stud. The caches will be listed on geocaching.com as five different Multi-Caches. The first part being the cache One through five and the second part being cache six (Casino/House). By listing them as five seperate caches each individual person could decide what they felt was the best order to try and locate them in. All five caches would have to be located before the final cache six could be found. The caches will be located in one 288-acre park in Maryland. The goal will be an all-hiking experience that would take approximately three to four hours to complete. You would be requested to bring one poker chip (from any actual casino or a personal one) as your trinket. After locating cache one through five you would possess five sealed envelopes containing one card each to make up your hand of five cards. In addition on each envelope would be part of the necessary coordinate to locate cache six. Once locating cache six (Casino/House) you would compare your hand against the dealer’s (House) hand and the “Top Player’s Hand.” There will be a hand-ranking chart in the cache for those unfamiliar with the game. If your hand beats the dealer’s you keep your chip and take one “Custom House Chip.” If you lose, you place your chip in the “Top Hand” container for the eventual high hand winners. If you beat the "Top Hand" you take a chip left by a previous player in addition to the "Custom House Chip." In addition if you lose you may still take a “Custom House Chip” as a thank-you and memory for playing my poker cache. As geocaching is a “family” sport in my house and my kids love to go along I will provide an area in cache six (Casino/House) for swag for the kids to trade. Six Caches: 1. Hearts 2. Diamonds 3. Spades 4. Clubs 5. Joker 6. Casino/House Cache One thru Five Contain: Size: Small Difficulty Rating: to be determined Terrain Rating: to be determined Logbook / Pencil Deck of cards in individual sealed envelopes  Each envelope, from each cache will be marked with part of the coordinate to locate the Casino/House cache. You will need one envelope from all five caches to have the complete coordinates to locate cache Six (Casino/House). FTF Prize (Poker related) Cache Six Contains: Size: Large Difficulty Rating: to be determined Terrain Rating: to be determined Logbook / Pencil The dealer’s (House) hand The top player’s hand to date Swag  Custom House Poker Chip  “Top Hand” poker chip, stocked by losers chips (with initial supply from me)  Trade / Kid Swag Place for return cards FTF Prize (Poker related)
  8. Just placed an order. Recently got interested in the sport and wife's father was from Nemaha, Iowa. He passed away several years ago. We visited Nemaha in the summer of 2006 and just loved the tiny little town. So I thought this would be a nice memory for her.
  9. Just received my new 60CSX today! Great unit. Got it from PC Nation (http://www.pcnation.com/web/details.asp?affid=306&item=6G0170) for $323.80 shipped to the US ... not sure about cost of international shipping. But was the best I could find online beofre $50.00 rebate.
