  1. Short video on sending waypoints to the Garmin Vista HCx
  2. Well I don't have the eye power to read the 3 pages of this post because of blood sugar problems, So I'm sorry if it's already been posted, But I don't care if the signing of the log for my caches are long or short, if it just has TFTC I at least know my caches are still there, it keeps me from having to go check up on them all the time.
  3. Thanks for the link, WOW again I downloaded the Geocaching for iPhone, I wish I had known about this link earlier I could have saved 5 dollars.
  4. Just bought an iPod Touch 3rd generation and installed Air Sharing, now I'm able to have my pocket queries with me in html format, just like viewing the cach pages on geocache.com. This iPod Touch is sweet, it has iPhone software and will do about everything the iPhone will do except make cell phone calls, you can store Songs, Video, surf the web, get and send e-mail AND store cache page in html format and it has Bluetooth but haven't figured it out yet. Now I need to do a tutorial on it so I don't forget how to set it back up if something happens and I need to redo it. Does anyone else use the iPod Touch for caching?
  5. My contract is about up with Sprint and I'm thinking about going with Verision and I don't want text messaging ( or is called data plan), I heard you have to have data plan to use the PDA, now I'm confussed. Is there a PDA cell phone that I can load Cachemate into with out having to subscribe to a data plan, I have heard about unlocked cell phones you can buy, what does this mean, will this allow me to use the PDA part of the phone. Thanks for any help at making me understand the PDA cell phones because I'm lost.
  6. You can't go anywhere with out politics, so here I go, I voted for Obama and if it effects you because somebody is using his name as their geocache ID then I hope it eats you alive. Nobody would use George W. Bush for an ID because they wouldn't want people thinking they were as dumb as bush, you call Obama controversial, now that is the pot calling the kettle black!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Thanks for starting this thread, it makes sense, I thought the puzzle masters were smoking pot when they came up with a picture and some coords for parking, I thought in their smoke filled brains they forgot to leave a clue. Now I am seeing some logic to the puzzle caches, Thanks
  8. I guess what the OP was asking is how do you figure out a puzzle of a picture of something that has no clues. I wonder why some people have no problems figuring them out, and some like myself thinks this could ONLY make sense to the one that hide it. It really makes me feel stupid, and it really hurts to not be able to understand things like this, if I had known this, I would never took up geocaching. I have become confused with the regular caches, as you have to do something to find them and they are becoming puzzles in themslves. Not being able to see what others see is so frustrating that I have lost interest in geocaching, it would be nice if somebody here would create a few fake puzzle caches and explain the logic behind them after everybody looked them over for few days. It's beyond me.
  9. Exactly, I have shown some of the puzzle caches and explained geocaching to bunch of people smarter than myself, and they are as clueless as I am,some of these people are well educated. I'm just thinking maybe these people are not as smart as they try to make everyone think they are, like I said before I could create a cache that didn't exsist nobody would be able to find it so, this way I could make others think I was Albert Einstein. I think the puzzle only make sense to the cache owner, but I have noticed the same few people find these caches, maybe they are on the same frequency as the owner, how do I tune into this frequency.
  10. Some typical search methods were employed, but additional 'out of box' thinking was needed here today. This is a Found reply for a cache, how do you go about this thinking out side the box?
  11. Sheesh. That puzzle is about as bad as this one: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...95-d65485f9f273 At least He gave a hint
  12. Thanks to all for the help, added it to Ignore listing updated My PQ's and they are GONE Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks aronnie PS going now to Ignore a lot more of them
  13. And I spent all this money to geocache, and all people do is hide keyholders in street corner newspaper boxes and store parking lots. I don't like them, you don't like puzzles. Upper right hand corner of the cache page, a little blue outlined box with (usually) 5 options. One of them is "Ignore listing". Works great. Poof!! It's gone forever! Well not really, you still see them on the Google map, but that's besides the point. Thank You, going now to Ignore them, I thought the Ignore thing was to stop like PM's etc.
  14. Can you imagine somebody wanting to geocache but couldn't afford a GPSr so they look for them using the map on the cache page, well I spent all this money to geocache, and now it looks like I'm going to have to hire a CIA agent that is a specialist in code breaking. I would like to have a FTF, but this is not what I'm thinking about when looking for a cache. I think I'm going to create a cache that doesn't exist, just so I can see what it feels like because nobody will be able to find it.
  15. Is it possible to block a cachers caches from showing up in My PQ's, I am tired of seeing somebody stick a picture of something in a cache page and have Me figure it out (puzzle caches). here is one of the caches, either this guy is a rocket scientist or I'm stupid , if I'm stupid I'm tired of being reminded about it. and I want to remove them from My PQ's so I don't have to even know there is one there. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...57-946b38cb639e
  16. I feel your pain, sometimes to me it seems that the only person the cache makes any sense to is the one that hid it. I get so frustrated with these that it makes me want to go somewhere, take a GPS reading, post it and let people look for nothing, just so I can make people think they are looking for a EVIL hide and I can make people think I'm real smart. I thought that was why you go out and buy a GPSr for, to FIND a cache, you stand a better chance of finding them by tripping over them,I think cache owners think someone is going to look at the google map and go out and find it.
  17. Hi jerilyn could you post one of the caches you looked for?
  18. Hi jerilyn could you post one of the caches you looked for?
  19. Did MapSource Trip & Waypoint Manager come with your GPS? I checked the Garmin website and it is supposed to come with it, this is what I use to send My PQ's to My Garmin eTrex Vista HCx , you will need the program GSAK, and a premium membership to geocaching dot com. I would be glad to help you any time you want with setup, Etc
  20. How do You get into the thoughts of what the person was thinking when they were figuring out how to create the cache page, no clues, just a picture with limited information.
  21. I was afraid of that, having to load them one at a time As the previous poster said, just take the most recent version of each PQ only and delete the rest. Say I have 20 pq's in My e-mail Does the newest pq have all their information, Mine are sent to hotmail account along with other things would GSAK be able to find the PQ's and extract them. email retrieval feature of GSAK to pull the queries from the mailbox directly into the database without having to provide any hands-on interaction
  22. I have let My PQ's back up in My e-mail, will I have to do each one of them one at a time, or is there a way to move them to a floder with out the File alreardy exist do You want to replace thingie coming up?
  23. I'm still not getting any PQ results. what go you guys have for Placed During I had it set for the Last Year, could it be that My PQ's are up to date is why there is no results Thanks aronnie
  24. I will check and post them, but I didn't have any problem getting then up till a few days ago,I haven't changed anything.
