I am having problems activating a travel bug...
The activation code does not match... !!!
I have tried all the varients of O and 0 and I and 1 still to no avail
I am thinking there is a problem with the activation code printed on the label... I have come accross this in the past...
Is there anyone I can contact to get the code checked ?
Help please !

I wonder what percentage of caches archived for whatever reason, are actually re-visited by the owner to retreive the box and intermediate stages and not just left as Geolitter?
Thoughts.
The same thoughts have occurred to me, every time I have to archive a cache in fact I suspect the answer is a very low percentage.
Would it be possible to have a list of future 'forced' (by the moderators) archived caches, so that local cachers could then go out and CITO the remains? I know that I would be happy to pick up any local dead caches.
If geocache.com will not provide this feature can we in England produce a list of volunteers in various parts of the country that the moderators could notify when a box is archived in the way Lactodorum has just mentioned whereby they are sure that nothing is to be done...
I would be only too happy to pop out to grab a local 'bad' box for this area if notified !

Just a thought accured to me.... With a ever larger number of caches being archived are some of these being left in place...
I know that certain caches are archived because they have gone missing, but others are abandoned by cachers no longer active...
Has anyone come accross geo-litter from old caches ?
Do you think we could in our travels of the countryside visit old archived spots and have a look ?
e.g. look after our own and do a bit of CITO !

I have just been contacted by a Canadian cacher who is visiting Harrogate this weekend and would like to
( i ) do some local caches and
( ii ) meet some of the locals
I have been communicating with him and can arrange to take him to see some of the best caches around but
( ii ) I have arranged for a few of the local cachers to come to the Smiths Arms, Beckwithshaw at 7pm on Tuesday 28th August
I can not make this into a formal cache meet as two weeks notice is required (unless the invidulators say yes !!!)
So anyone that is around please come along for a drink and a few TB swaps !

If there is anyone out there that can help me please
I have just released at the North Yorkshire Meet a travel bug race
www.harrogatehunters.org and click on 2007 race
I have a list of cachers with links to their race travel bugs.
What I am hoping to be able to do is get the web page to automatically update the mileage...

Firstly a great thank you for all the kind comments that I received this year
I am glad so many people enjoyed themselves
Secondly I have a few 2007 race TB's should anyone who was unable to get to the meet this year due to the change in date left
The race this year is a pure distance race, as per the 2004 race.
For your £5 you will get a TB tag (for you to activate), full race instructions, laminated tag to attach to TB to ensure that cachers know what it is and an attachment
This years attachment is a CD ! Professionally printed and self loads when popped into a computer
So if anyone who could not make the event due to the change of date but would still like a race TB, please drop me a line and I can arrange to send out in the post the TB etc
The cost of £5 is a nominal fee (as charged at the event) to cover the cost of the TB. All other items included I have stood the cost.
Cheers and thanks

Congrats from me !!!!
Did not seem two minutes since I last saw you....
Should be able to run to caches now !!!

I dont like Bumping....
but I also dont want to waste cachers time by going to the wrong venue in 3 days time... so just popping this one up to the top to catch the people who log on in the evening

NORTH YORKSHIRE MEET - YEAR 4 - VENUE CHANGE
********************************************
As below, please note that the event this Saturday 23rd June 2007 at Midday has had to be changed
The Travellers rest pub got swamped by water last weekend, and after opening last night, received further flood damage.
At the last minute the landlord has had to say to us the event can not take place at his pub.
After a frantic search for a place that could take us all, the Manager at the Cedar Court Hotel has stepped in and given us his Hotel for the afternoon free of charge.
There are plenty of rooms (and outside) for us to use depending on numbers - sorry bedrooms are out of bounds !!!
Please see the new cache page for full details
Thanks and see you all on Saturday at Noon.

An apology to those that can not make the North Yorkshire Cache meet this coming weekend due to me having to cancel from the original date of last weekend....
Just thought I would post a picture of Her Majesty... I had a fantastic day seeing her and watching the Queens Club polo final in Windsor Great Park... a cracking final...
The picture....

Lots of us have held cache events and finished up out of pocket. It goes with the territory.
Ditto !
I talk from experiance !
Events take a lot of time and effort to get right and costly !
-
Anyone know ?
At the top of the listing of logs for the caches are some new icons with the counts of finds/DNF/maintenance etc etc
But they dont work properly !
Why ?
Is it me ?
