  1. I have used the word ebay several times and have never received an email from Groundspeak so I am not sure how it is frowned upon. When Bryan gives permission to put links to ebay on the forums and even uses the word ebay, I don't believe it is frowned upon.

Try reading the post by Bryan in the Welcome to Geocoin forum pinned in the geocoin forums:

    Welcome to the Geocoin Forum!

While the intention of this forum is to discuss the Geocaching related aspects of geocoins (movements, tracking.); we realize that the trading and collecting of them is quite popular.

To ensure that this forum is a success, please respect our ground rules when it comes to selling and trading of coins:

    * Links to Ebay sales of trackable geocoins are permitted, but only for unactivated coins or sales where the seller is the actual coin owner or the coin owner has granted explicit permission for the sale of their coin.

BTW, Bryan works for Groundspeak and sets some of the policies for geocoins. The policy was set in 2006.

  2. [*snippy*However you can check to see if you are on the list by logging into your account at the store. There is an area to mark yourself to be included on the newsletter. */snippy*

I cannot find the place to mark myself to be included on the newsletter. :D I go to my account and there is a place that says that I am not currently subscribed to any newsletters & an "edit" link but when I click on that link it just takes me to an empty page. Do I need to shoot you an e-mail thru the "Contact" address? I did that.

On a different note: Can you please tell me the name of the font you used on your "Store" page for the word "Geocoins", right above "Mother Nature Inspired" in the banner with the ETs? I need that font for something... ;)

I had the same problem with the newsletter.

  3. The notion that every coin that comes out is wonderful/beautiful/cute.......

Five year ago, when I started in coins, it was a lot more interesting--diversified--colorful.

I have to laugh about this one. I once said I didn't like a coin and boy did I get flamed! LOL I guess you're only allowed to say you like it.

It definitely was more "colorful" when a few certain cachers were around and each took the opposite stand on whatever was being talked about.......

    Amen. :P
