No, it wouldn't power up with the usb cable either. I called Garmin yesterday and they were very helpful. They sent me a new one out overnight and I am supposed to receive it on Monday. This particular model has only been out a month. I was quite impressed with the customer service at Garmin. Thanks for all your input.

Thanks for the link....nothing worked though on my gps. I will be forced to call Garmin today and possibly post-pone our first ever hunt scheduled for tomorrow.

I've only had my gps for 2 weeks. It will not power on. Does anyone know if there is a soft-code that will power it up? I've changed the batteries - still dead!
