  1. Hey jjreds. I ran it several times and noticed the size DOES change from 10.2mb with "load spoilers" checked down to 4.59mb unchecked. There seems to be a disconnect somewhere. I also noticed recently that as spoilersync is running it says "no spoilers found" for all of them as it runs through. Before I would see it saying "1 spoiler found" or "2 spoilers found" for a lot of them. This isn't happening at all now. Anth.
  2. Nope still not working at all. Should I be able to see the jpegs if I look at the Nuvi in Windows explorer? I don't see any of them on the Nuvi itself...or do they become part of the gpx file?
  3. I did a search for "Geocache TourGuide.jpg" and found nothing. I also manually looked for it in all three of my database folders and didn't see it. Also, there are NO subfolders in my 3 respective database folders. I deleted everything in my "default" folder and ran your macro again and watched it build in the folder. It added the gpx, bmp and mp3 files. Something I found INTERESTING was that if I click on "Multi TourGuide.mp3" or "Traditional TourGuide.mp3" (the only mp3 files your macro built, and the only mp3 files in the folder) it plays them in windows media player, and DISPLAYS THE GEO LOGO in windows media player!!?? Is this right? Here's a quick screenshot of my default folder. These are the new files that the macro built. There is nothing else in this folder other than jpg.s, and ALL of the jpg.s start with "GC" only, nothing else... Weird. or no?
  4. Hey jjreds. Thanks for the quick reply. I'm seeing some weird stuff here and will try to give details: First, on my Nuvi 650, we're dealing with Software Version 4.70 Audio Version 1.50 GPS SW Ver 3.00 POI Loader is version 2.5.2. I see that 2.5.3 is the latest, but I haven't installed it yet! Please also NOTE that I was previously using pilotsnipes macro. I don't know if remnants from it are throwing a monkey wrench in the mix here. I verified that the GPX Output Path in your macro is c:\gsak\POI_Loader and the path shown when I open the Garmin POI loader manually is also C:\gsak\POI_Loader, so I think that's ok in response to your post above. I deleted all the GPX files in my databases to see if that would clear things up but no luck. And I still have the geocaching logos on SOME of my caches: And some don't: Kind of strange. What do you make of all this? Thanks again in advance for the help!
  5. The macro is still working great and currently one of my favorite things in life!!! I can't seem to get the spoiler pics to load though. 1. In GSAK, I clicked "Database>Grab Images>Grab and refresh all images". Don't know if this was entirely necessary but though I'd do it. 2. Downloaded and installed SpoilerSyncTxfr.gsk macro. 3. Downloaded and installed spoilersync full.exe (both downloaded from jjreds01 site) 4. Run the jjreds macro, click Advanced options, "Load Spoiler Pics" is checked, click "Run Spoiler Macro". 5. In the resulting window, "Create a summary..." and "Check for new spoilers on previously processed" are checked. Database is "Default", Folder containing is C:\program files\spoilersync. Click "Start" 6. The macro runs and opens SpoilerSync. It runs through all caches in the database with waypoint folder set to C:\gsak\TourGuide_Tools\Default.loc and spoiler folder set to c:\gsak\POI_Loader\Default\ (is this my problem right here??!!) 7. Back in GSAK I click "Return" twice, then create GPX files, etc. I can't see any images on my Nuvi 650 though. Some caches have a green "Play" button in the upper left corner that turns to a red square "Stop" button when pressed, and the geocaching logo in the upper right corner, others have neither of those. While searching for an answer in this thread, I saw something saying to delete all old gpx files in the database and start over. I tried that and had no luck. What do you guys think is holding me back? Thanks in advance for the support!
  6. YES!!!!!!!!!! I hope the pocket query server is running cool, coz I'm about to work it out!!! Haha...good news. And jjreds, this makes the "multiple database" section of your macro SO useful now. We take lots of daytrips and I'm glad I can load it up to support that now! Best news I've gotten in a while!
  7. How many waypoints can my Nuvi 650 REALLY hold??!! I really tried to search for a real answer...honest! Garmin's site says 500, but I've been running with over 700 since Pilotsnipes macro, and now with jjreds macro I've just created a separate database for a nearby city and the macro said it successfully loaded something like 1183 POI's. Is this true or false? I'll be able to manage this better if someone has a real number on the max custom waypoints I can load! TIA.
  8. That tells me POI Loader is pointed to the wrong folder. The macro output folder will contain a folder for each database processed containing the gpx files by cache type and their associated symbols and sound files. j That did the trick. It was still set to the "garminpoi" folder from Pilotsnipes macro...just had to switch it over to "POI_Loader" and it's working properly now. Thanks jjreds!!! Can't wait to try it out!
  9. I use a Garmin Nuvi 650 with GSAK and Pilotsnipes Paperless Macro to get us there, then close in with an HTC Touch running BeeLine GPS and a bluetooth Holux GPSlim 236.
  10. The standard little green box (traditional) appears for all caches, even multi's. I'm bummed because I'm dying to try your macro out! Help jjreds!

  12. I'm doing something wrong I have Pilotsnipes macro successfully installed on my Nuvi 650. Do I need to uninstall it before using this one? I'm using GSAK 7.5.0.188 and the POI Loader recommended (and downloaded) from Pilotsnipes page. I did the preliminary step of opening POI Loader and pointing it to C:\GSAK\POI_Loader. The macro runs, comes up with a "Check Connection" button which I click, and then says it worked, but nothing looks different (from Pilotsnipes macro) on my Nuvi. I've read and re-read the instructions and can't figure out what I'm missing!?! Any help would be excellent!
  13. Interesting. I was not aware that Palm started making a touchscreen Treo. Very cool news! Forget what I said!
  14. It is because your Treo is running Windows Mobile SMARTPHONE edition (non-touchscreen) and it appears GeoScout requires Windows Mobile POCKET PC edition (touchscreen). The Treo isn't on the list of supported devices either, so I think you're out of luck
  15. Hey Pilotsnipes, Just wanted to give you a HUGE THUMBS UP on this!!!! It has transformed the way we geocache. It works perfectly on our Nuvi 650 and having all the info right there is priceless!!! Thanks a million for your work on this.
  16. I was using an HTC 8525 with a Holux GPSlim 236 bluetooth GPSr and recently upgraded to an HTC Touch with the same bluetooth GPSr. I've been using iGO 2008 to get me there on the roads and then switch over to BeeLine GPS when on foot. I use GSAK to get all my caches to BeeLine. I've found this combination to work perfectly!
