  1. Sometime today or tomorrow (tomorrow, most like), I'll post a series of .DOC and .PDF files for everyone with graphics you can cut out and insert into the flips. That way, you can break out your magnifying glasses and write the tracking code on the inserts (if you should want to gift 'em or trade 'em or set 'em traveling and want to save the eyesight of those who come after). : )
  2. Thanks, but the thanks goes to Moozer for partnering up, and for all of you racers for racing! : )
  3. I think that's the answer: Sepp & Berta activated the "chococoin". Then you buy chocolate coins (all with this same tracking number on them) and use the code to discover the coin. It's still a perfectly evil idea. ; )
  4. The race is coming up this Saturday, can't wait! Here's a picture of what a prepared Racer Cow looks like: I'll be updating the racer list tonight, so if you've activated your cows, links to your cows will be updated. If you haven't, please do, and thanks!
  5. I just wanted to post a picture of a geocoin I had made for my daughter. It turned out really nicely! The little damaged bit on the sticker is not Sepp & Berta's fault: the coin arrived in perfect condition. Summer did that. ; ) Did you all use Trans #2 for the red on the coin? The red enamel on the coin is more pink than red -- but that's absolutely perfect, because that's Summer's favorite color. Thanks for a job well done!
  6. Trackable, edible coins. I am not making this up. Sepp & Berta, you are evil. EVIL! ; )
  7. LUCRE! FILTHY, FILTHY LUCRE! The prize is just now being distributed among the victorious crew. And they'd been generous enough to donate some of their hard-won bounty for earthquake relief in Japan & New Zealand, so keep an eye on the associated fundraising threads for announcements soon. Arrrrrr!
  8. Howdy, and welcome to the addiction! There are pretty reasonably-priced coins to be found everywhere. It's hard to say which one is "the cheapest" because it all depends on a lot of factors (including what kinds of features the coins have, shipping costs from the vendor to wherever you're located, etc). Your best bet is to check out the vendor list in the pinned Geocoin FAQ topic and shop around. You should be able to find a start for your collection without any problem at all. Enjoy!
  9. Just a quick note: if you haven't activated your racers yet, please do so - the event is this coming Saturday (the 14th). If you haven't heard from me regarding tracking codes, etc and if I haven't send you an email asking for information (e.g., your caching name, your cow[s'] name), please shoot me an email and give me a kick. Thanks!
  10. Oh, wow, those are BEAUTIFUL. Sigh. My wallet hates me. ; )
  11. Are you trying to insert a picture of your own, or are you trying to (hot-)link to one of the pictures listed on the graphics page?
  12. Super limited edition! Charge extra!* *Lesson from my Mom: when you make a mistake, it makes the art more unique. Charge +$15. My work, unfortunately, is usually priceless.
  13. What a fabulous idea! And I finally (duh) figured it out -- sorry, I wake up slowly. ; ) I'm going to go ahead and leave the store open until I get home from work tonight, at approximately 10pm my time (which is about 8am on May 2nd for the east coast of the US), since I can't do anything with tags while I'm at work anyway. At that time, I'll unfortunately have to disable the Cow Racers as I've got to get the tags ready for shipment to Moozer tomorrow. So if you'd like to participate in The Great Cow Race, now's the time to get your tag ordered! Here is the link to the Great Cow Tag Race "cowtest" information, as well as information for Cows Around the World (the "cowtest") for regular, non-racer tags. And here's the store link once more!
  14. Hi, Edsfind -- Got your order, thanks! I'm currently at work, but tonight when I get home I'll set up your cow & send you all the good stuff. : ) -- JG
  15. Only two more days (the 29th and the 30th) left to get your racer cows! I'll be packing up the racers and sending them to Moozer first thing next week, so if you've been waiting to buy & name your own bessie, now's the time! : )
  16. Re: donations - hai! I /love/ your kitty picture. SO CUTE! Squee!
  17. Heh, yeah, I'd prefer not to have mint errors on mine. But I kinda like them on others, for a given value of "error". ; ) The Egyptian Key sold! btw, for $30. Since that's a relatively low amount, I'll be donating that amount to both recipients (once I figure out how to donate to Ferals in Need). I'll post "proof" here when I have it all figured out and am done, but I have already shipped out the coin. I will get eBay updated when I can, but I'm pretty hammered-busy right now. In fact, I have to go take care of the animals at Yokosuka PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) now. See ya! (And thanks for supporting my auction! : ) )
  18. Whew! I've been busy, but I wanted to catch up here: First, the auctions netted a total of $119.23, which I rounded up to $120 for the JRC: I've also mailed all of the coins out already. When I get unsuperslammed (don't know when that'll be) I'll update eBay statuses to reflect that they've been shipped, but you saw it here first! : ) Thanks again to everyone who bid!
  19. Oh, dagnabbit. I didn't set my alarm and missed out entirely. : ( Okay, I didn't miss out entirely, but I did miss out on some of the versions. Teach me to be too busy to log on. Grrr.
  20. Less than a day 'til it's over -- BID FOR TEH KITTEHS! ^=.=^
  21. Only about two days left on these auctions. If you're looking to add a very limited Artist's Edition to your collection, here is your chance!
  22. Sorry for the delay in responding, and also very sorry I totally misread your post -- some days are just not my days for reading posts well. ; ) I actually don't think it's a problem if you start your own racers (if you want to). I'd be more concerned with people "armchair logging" their racers into caches they haven't actually visited (e.g., in Koeln one day, then Anchorage an hour after that) than I would be with someone taking his/her own bug from the event and then logging into a local cache. : ) Thanks for the pics kudos! All the blossoms are gone and the trees are all dressed in pale green now. Very pretty!
  23. Yay Wednesday -- I won't be at work! : ) Beautiful coins - can't wait!
  24. Heh, it's okay, no worries. I just love quirky, not-quite-right coins. As long as they're not MINE. ; )
