  1. Hope you can help? On my etrex GPS the O/S grid ref is in 10 numbers. But on the O/S site, on the Getamap section the G References are given in the classic 6 number version. Which is fine if one only wants accuaracy to 100m2. Is there a map resource out there, where by clicking on the map, one can get the full 10 number GR? Which can then be logged into the GPS for navigation. Thanks
  2. It all makes sense now. Thank you very much for that. WGS84 for Geocaching, and Ord Srvy GB when navigating with OS maps. Ta very much.
  3. I'm a newbie to this caching lark. I'm a keen MTBiker, and log coordinates from planned routes into my GPS to keep me on track. In the past when using British Grid on the GPS, it was always pretty inaccurate. Was hoping the OS mapping service "GET A MAP" would do coordinates in degrees and minutes. Why is British Grid so inaccurate on GPS?
  4. Are there any online mapping service where one can get coordinates in degrees and minutes? The reason is, one could then add these coordinates to ones Etrex to make waypoints. Which would come very handy when planning future routes to follow.
