  1. I do have one bat box on our summer cottage. Never seen any bats going there. However we have one batman mansion over here. Perhaps batcave too...
  2. Could it be same bat man or woman we had on our summer cottage some years ago? It circled me and I just took video, while all others were screaming together with bat. Fun and terror on same moment.
  3. Another Lego AFOL here! We just had one million bricks / 60 m2 Finnish Lego City build on exhibition. Well, my part was just few thousand bricks with two buildings. Your Donald Duck MOC looks clever!
  4. Only fake metro-stations on town that never had or going to have metro system! Also signs that there is metro being build.
  5. Greetings and Happy Birthday to Don, from Finland!! Great to see you still are on Waymarking. I wish many years to continue on this wonderful hobby. 👍
  6. I though this seasonal & stand that is still placed all the time, is impossible. Now I accidently found one! Village market place for local farmers / producers, that is mostly open during summer months, but tables are there also on winter time. Perhaps those are on use during christmas.
  7. I asked from several vendors do they have any on Finland, because those what were listed on websites are not really updated. Some has gone years ago. For my suprise; some even replied on first business day. What I learned, not every tourist coins are available from automats. Still those are listed on websites. Before travelling +800 km journey to one and only true machine which has stock of tourist coins, I better phone to location is it still really there. 😀
  8. I would be interested as a sport. Hoping this will have some corrections and we could vote it again.
  9. "2. Mark the GPS coordinates of the machine using the main, public entrance of the building. In the long description, you must guide visitors how to find the machine from the main entrance." What about; should there be also is the access to this machine free or do you have to buy first some ticket to attraction / museum, etc??
  10. Moikka vaan! Welcome Vicious Cycle to the world of Waymarking. It's like cycling with bike, but no. Cheers from land of everlasting winter and penguin madness; Finland.
  11. I have only met some Finnish waymarkers that do visit Waymarks and only few who have done waymarks. I have sent messages to many waymarkers that I would like to meet in person, but no answers. We really should have meeting on some geocaching Mega!
  12. Our city officials decided to demolish this beautiful free splash mushroom. https://www.ts.fi/uutiset/5908161 For the next summer there is no joy for childrens. Or our Freddie dog.
  13. Haa! Had to Google what it is. Not a swimming thing or just waterslide. There used to be one on my home City.
  14. I swear that I triplecheck before click to review my WM. Still it happens that E turns W. Most difficult cases are parking coordinates of WM. You go back and forward countless times to get it right. But I have an solution: I make only N / W area waymarks, so nothing hopely have to change. Well, cannot do those for ages... Just till my photosupply goes empty.
  15. I have visited both Neuschwanstein and Louvre recently, but sadly the pictures I have are not from same aerial perspective. We should have Neuschwanstein puzzle, which has a bit different view. Well, somewhere on our library room...
  16. When I was a kid, these money making machinen came, but I never bought any. Later I have specially seen these on France, but elsewhere they have dissappeared. Just had a though; what about bubblegum dispensing machines? First bubblegum was replaced with plastic trash stuff balls. Then people stopped to use coins. That was perhaps the reason there are no longer coin smashing machines or bubblegum dispensing machines. I haven't seen. One exception: local archiological museum had since 1995 own machine from you could get replica coin from 1600 or so. Something museum has actually found. So there is no written text or image to link that coin to museum if you have it on your hands. Which gives me another story... Some years ago one guy who had magnetic sweeping as hobby has found very well preserved ancient coin and posted images to website. Hobbyist were talking there is it old Latvian or Polish kingdom coin. Then person from same archiological museum I referred, wrote there he was happy to see their tourist coins can be now found under the soil with metal detector!
  17. From rky.fi site? I cannot find. Yes, Åland is one of "states" of Finland. With quite independency. Swedish speaking people. It is strange that Waymarking treats Åland islands like country. Are the English Channel islands done same way?
  18. I have found perhaps something for Åland. Their official tourism site has this: https://visitaland.com/en/experience/culture-history/ Wikimedia Commons has this really short list with couple of fortifications and churches: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Cultural_heritage_monuments_in_Åland
  19. That is good site for Finland. Same goverment paid agency has also this search engine; https://www.kyppi.fi/palveluikkuna/portti/read/asp/default.aspx
  20. Hear, hear! I would be happy if title is Nordic Heritage. Could even join the club.
  21. Hejsan Kalle! Please see this topic on forums: One of waymarks on your list is mine and it is already approved. I received also same "strange visit" log on it and deleted it. Also tested to visit that Waymark myself and had no problem. Smurffaaja
  22. Thanks Becktracker. Cool find! But... this was just study to try new materials. Leaf bridge went into annual house exhibition on 2018 and after that it has not seen on public places. More about this pretty nice consept of natural bridge: https://www.rop.fi/leafbridge.html
  23. I have tried to find 3D printed House or structure from my country. Found total 0. There was several articles how some company has printed concrete for supporting structures of various buildings. But when the building is completed, you cannot see them anylonger. Some really artistic looking concrete surfaces are not directly 3D printed. Only moulds are done. So these cannot be waymarked? Found also some start-up companies that are planning to create enough good concrete for 3D printing. So, this is clearly in near future much more used.
