No as long as its a new card,with nothing on it put in a 4 GB card in my 60 csx,took it out of package and put it in GPSr and started loading maps..

That happened to me the first time i down loaded it,so i just uninstall(make sure you get rid of all files with this program) and reinstalled it.That fixed the problem i had.Hope this helps Still no luck, something seems to be blocking the download. i am no computer geek but i'm sur someone understands whats going on. however i can download the mac type. WEIrd !!!!! but i don't own a mac !!!!!!! So your saying you cant even download the file?Or cant you open it? You might want to check your computer virus software,if you have one,it might block it if it not a trustworthy site..

I had to do this myself a few times,they usually want you to give it a few tries first, and if you still have a DNF,they are always happy to help if you're having trouble...

If you don't want to worry about multiple accounts all the time, set up a gmail account, and have it forward all mail to one of your regular accounts. If you think throttling is happening, you can then check gmail to see if it actually got sent. Also, the send queue resets at midnight, pacific time. If your request didn't process by then, it never will. You have to set it for the current day. I have a gmail as my primary account for Groundspeak to use, I ran several queries today, and only ever recieved 4, the others are lost in never never land. Glad to know others are having issues too, I've been searching spam folders, etc. Looked like they were having some server problems earlier. Maybe I'll just run them again in the morning. Frustrating though, just got my Oregon 400t and can't get a query to load on it I have a yahoo account as my primary for receiving my pocket query since i became a premium member,and had no problems with getting them within 1-2 mins,just ran 2 last night around 6 pm and both came in a min of each other...

Your Palm should be able to reformat the card. You should have a "Card Info" app on the Palm. There's a Format option on the menu. If the card is 2GB or less, you should have no problem. If it's an HC card (high capacity), you may need to do a custom formatting to change the sector sizes for it to work at maximum efficiency in the Palm. Otherwise, deleting files off the card will be very slow. Thanks for everyones input,yes the palm pda did format the card for me.Good as new.... THANKS AGAIN...

I searched around but couldn't find any thing on this,so i thought I'd reach out to the experts.I just upgraded the memory card in my Garmin 60 Csx and i want to use the old card for my palm pda,so i wondering how to erase all the old maps on the card,so it empty.I tried on map source but i need to down load something new to erase the old.Any help will be appreciated...THANKS

Not sure what maps you're trying to load, but I bought a 4gig for my 60csx and loaded all of the US state maps from Mapsourse and the East 24k Topo maps on it without any problems. I was trying to load Ibycus USA map and the topo of MN and half of WI from mapsource, with a total of 785 map segments.I might have to reinstall Ibycus map,to see if something went wrong in there... Update, it wasn't the size of the card,i had to reinstall the USA map program, must of been something wrong with the way i loaded the first one... It all downloaded,now ready to go

This was probably discussed already,but my internet is slow today, as it takes forever to run a search.So i was wondering,has anyone had any problems loading maps with a 4Gb card in garmin 60csx, I know you don't need one that big ,but it was on sale.I was trying to load 765 map sets at 1360Mb and it wouldn't load said problem with map program,so someone told me it could be to big of a card.Any ideas if this is true?

Couldn't tell on that,i have both installed on mine and there both available in my map-source,did you install the patch?

Anybody else having problems with Ibycus 2.01 loading into the GPSr,I get about 40% of the map base loaded and it stops and says i need to reinstall due to problem Ibycus 2.01 program. Any help will be appreciated,as i dont really want to reinstall if i dont have to..

Hey thanks alot for letting me know,i just went back and looked and saw the updated trails,i downloaded the OHV trails but only one map shows up for the iron range trails,so that did me no good as of yet.Thanks again

Hello to all, I was wondering if any of you have downloaded maps from MISCJUNK.ORG, and if so, could you help me by giving me a step by step directions on how to do this from start to finish,I'm try to download the MN ORV TRAILS and want to use them on top of the topo map i have installed on my GARMIN 60CSX,You could either sent me a PM or i will be online here for awhile.I was hoping to get this done before the weekend.Oh and I'm running windows xp with map source 6.13.7,and 2003 topo v3.7 in GPSr.And if you need any other info please let know... I heard there wasn't much difference between 2003 and 2008 topo. Is that wrong?

Just wondering if anyone out there has downloaded custom maps from GPSFile Depot, I'm trying to load trail maps for Minnesota,I already have topo 03 installed on GPSr and mapsource 2003 computer, I was wondering if the custom map will over write the topo or can they be used on top of each other.And where would i save the custom map,would it be saved in mapsource,or somewhere else,any help will be appreciated.(I'm new at this computer stuff).THANKS

Like the other minnesotans said snow isnt the problem its when it drops well below 0 with a double digit below windchill i will hesitate to go out.But i did try a few caches when it was 12 below with a 30 below windchill,didnt find many but at least i tried..
