Stay out of low area in case of flooding. I take big plastic trash sacks with me,(2) which can be used to make a body shelter if needed. Lower half first then the top. I always have a cap on so I make a eye hole and a breathing hole under the cap. can keep you warm and semi dry. If you need to walk out just add holes for your feet also.

The only time I was busted was in Kansas and it was by a lady that saw me but she was having the same need. We turned our backs to each other and let nature take its course. Both of us were a little embarrased but since we shaired the moment we joked about it and said our good byes. Outdoors is sort of like an outhouse, you need to be sociable, becouse sometimes a tree might be a two seater! On the other hand have come across several couples...........well coupling

Sorry, No the batteries are brand new It will not comunicate or connect with the satellites. Waited for a good 25 min. for it to do so. It will come up with everything but the longitude and latitude, cumpass are off also. It is still under warrenty so I took it back to Radio shack and they have sent it off. Just started thinking what might have caused this and was it a easy fix here at home. Have not travled far off with it in over a year. Just local cashes. I had used it the week before and had no problems with it then just boom it stopped.

Need some information please I went out to do some cacheing yesterday and when I turned on my platimum it would not connect. No nothing. has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it? Thanks Rick

I have been in every adult leadership position, Brotherhood member, Woodbadge (Eagle and a good old eagle too), both sons started in in tigers and finished Eagles with gold palms.

The last cache I found was a nice cache. I opened it up and took out the log book. The other bag contained 1 pop top of some kind 1 used gum 1 broken glass bottle top 1 cig. but 1 unidentified object I took the bag over to the trash can and disposed those items The word is Cache not Trash

I started to make my cache one that you could trade with but after finding several caches with really nothing but junk in them I changed my mind and any future caches will only be a first find gift. Reading post where a person places quality items in their cache to have them taken and a rock traded for them sucks and shows disrespect to the person who placed that cache. What do I place in a cache? Depends on the cache itself. A poorly placed cache I will only sign. Why? If the cacher does not have the pride in his or her work I do not want to reward the cache with a quality item. If it is one that shows planning and the cacher was creative in making the cache, I will place a funny somthing or other. But what I look for and hope to find is one that is well planned and a challange. These I like and will rate a very nice item and post. I do not like micros very much. Some show planning and are very creative but one that is just very small and thats the only reason it is hard to find do not rate very high on my find list.

Whats wrong with a little old snake. All it was doing is protecting the cache from muggies. It might have been a moble geosnake? Did it have any tags on it? lol I always take a hikeing staff with me. Not to play with snakes but to help them relocate to a different area than where I am or going. Around here their just a part of the fun hunting a cache. Watch where you step,squat or where you put your hands and if you cant see into it or around it use the stick first. Good hunting

Question, My son told me that HTML is being phased out and somthing else would be taking its place. Is this true and if so should I put the time and effort into this or the new system? Went to the book store today and found a complete idiot's guide to Geocaching. lol I guess it was for me. don't understand the question. Will try again. When you go to the new cache page and you want to enter your info (in html or can you do it in another program language?) how do you start it You may be able to right click your mouse and select 'view source', but that will show you all the html, which can be a lot. I guess what I need is a sample of a page being started and its layout of the same.

MSFrontpage renders a much cleaner version of html that from my experience cuts and pastes directly into the cache pages if you ignore all the header stuff before the <body> tag Can I create my cache page here and then transfer it over to the new cache page? If so how? To enter graphics like semaphore, braille, or other things, you'll need to upload them to your profile's gallery, the cache page, or another website, so their address can be inserted into the html code. Screen captures uploaded as a graphics file are another way to present graphics. I tried to find my profile gallery but could not find it. Are you talking about My controle panel? How do I upload them to the cache page? When you start a new cache page How do you start? Do you use the MSFront page or do you just enter the code becouse you know how? Is there a way to click on a cache page then go to properties and use that page as a guide, then cut and paste what I need? Sorry for all the questions.

Well what I want to use is in code. I have seen some that make it look like a letter or a map. I want to use braille or navy flag code things like that. How can I do these things? Any info? Thanks

For those of you that are blessed with the language of HTML I would like to ask a favor. I have a couple of books on this but it goes in one ear and out the other. I would like to know if there is a program that I can get that will take care of this process for me. If not I would love to hear from any of you that can speak this language. Chris, Dont take this wrong. I am not upset at you. You had no idea what was going on with this. I was going to email you after I checked out all possibilities on what to do. I even ask how to make this work with both caches to be in the same place. I am asking how keep this from happening again and what I needed to do to prevent it on my part. The thing about this cach was the codes. I was trying to make this one a very nice but also a challenge. We do not have many of those here. Most are .......well drop caches, some better than others but still drop caches I guess I am trying to make these too nice and should just do simple ones and forget about it. Thanks again

I have talked to the reviewer but they are sticking to the rule and 2 & 3 are close to the micro. I will try and talk with the other cacher but if not all that work is down the drain. There should be some type rule that the reviewer should at least contact you if you are doing a multi and see if this will be a problem or even letting a multi and a micro shair a close area but I can see that opening another can of worms also. I had submitted the cache and noted that it was being worked on and would be ready as soon as I could get time off. this was what was placed on the cache notes This cache has not been approved yet. Once it is approved, it will be listed on the site. Check the logs to see if the reviewers have left a note for this listing. The reviewers will not see this listing until you activate it. This cache is temporarily unavailable. Read the logs below to read the status for this cache. October 14 by (0 found) Since this seems to be unfinished, I'm taking it out of the review queue. Just click the "Yes, this cache is currently active" checkbox when it's ready. Don't forget to include the coordinates for the last stage. I then continued to work on the cache. Friday I checked my e-mail and to my supprise there was another cache not 30 yards from my second leg of this cache I ask and was sent a email telling me As it stands, you'll have to either move the 2nd and 3rd stages to comply with the guidelines, or convince the owner of the other cache, to relocate. But he has no obligation to do so, as his cache was placed fully in accordance with the guidelines. So again I ask how do you keep this from happening? I had added two extera legs to cover everything I wanted to do with the cache but felt everything was going fine and then I must change the cache becouse of a micro When you find a spot, figure out what and how you want to do it then put it all down on paper and in the field it takes some time. Again what can I do to keep this from happening again. I placed too much time and work on this to do it again. Might as well just do drop caches instid of trying to make a nice cache. When planning a multi cache how can you protect it from someone coming in behind you and placing a micro or another type cache? A lot of work is about to go down the drain for just that reason. So how do you do it?

At one time I knew where to find the archived caches, but now I cant seem to find them anymore. Has this changed or can anyone tell me where to find this link again. Also I would like to talk with some one about adopting a cache. I have approval from the owner but someone placed a cach within the 1/10 mile and I was told that now It would have to be moved. My question on this is how was this person able to place the cache within the restricted area in the first place? Thanks, Rick
