  1. Last year a friend and I were going to a old school site to coin hunt. The school had been closed back in the 40s but most of it was still intact. Yes I had a feeling that it was going to be a interesting day. We parked in the front of the old school and started coing hunting. I went one way and my friend the other. The old school is rather big so taking my time I made it to the back in about 25 min. I saw the car and flach about the same time. There were two quick shots that hit, one just in front of me and the other just behind me as I ducked back around the corner. I did not know where my friend was but I yelled for him to watch out. I could hear the car take off around the other side of the school and then two more shots. I found my friend trying to get under the truck as the car left the yard. He did not get hit but the truck had a window shot out of it. We called the local Law and a DPS officer came out. He found two empty cans of starter fluid and some other things that had been dumped. We gave a discripton of the car but no tag #. He told us that we had probably found a moble crack lab and said that we were very lucky. The week after I started checking into getting a license to carry and then got a call from my friend who ask me if I wanted to take a class with him. We had a great time and learned alot. Bottom line is that you never know. Snakes and animals around here dont bother me at all. Its the two legged ones that shoot at you that get my attention. Even if you dont want to get a license the class is well worth taking.
  2. Glock 9mm on the side. 17 round clip, I just need one the rest are in case the cops need extra Why? Moble Meth lab and 4 shots at me! Wrong place, No idea, Wrong time.
  3. I find this rather funny. Those that like it defend their right to do so but if someone places somthing anti in a cache they would have a fit.
  4. Well to each his own. I for one have had experence with it. I personaly have known someone who died from it. Sure you may not contract it but isnt it like playing Russian roulette gambling on not hitting that single round in a chamber? Thats great its up to you, keep on spinning the cylinder. Me I will get a can of cutters and use it. Good luck.
  5. Well I'm just a short skip and a jump from there and would be happy to go caching with her Well maybe 3 jumps. Caching is alot more fun with someone. Hope the foot heals well and quickly. Did you do it geocaching?
  6. Thats it? I thought that everyone would be wanting to tell about how great their GPS was or what they want.
  7. We have had lots of rain here and with that comes the season. Please check out this website and take care of yourself, family, and friends. My Webpage
  8. Thanks for all the good info. New twist, what do you think My son called me today and said he was going to throw some broken yard lights away, wanted to know if I had any use for them . I went over and got them, and they still work. See what I am thinking about. My only thoughts here are 1. taking them apart and adding to a water tight container 2. can I get a brighter led to replace the ones on them 3. Will the solar pannel charge battery while in the water. 4. Where can I get 4 more broken yard lights

  10. Interesting, Here is my story I found out about geocaching after our youngest got out of school. Me and my X were looking for things to do together (I thought) She came up with Square Dancing and School, I came up with geocaching and went along with the dancing thing. Well she was a natural at Square Dancing while me, I was all left feet but I kept trying. She started out liking geocaching but the dancing and school always seemed to get in the way of it. She started telling me that I should go and she would do her own thing. Nothing seemed to be wrong and we both had fun. About 3 months later some strange things started happening but nothing that really couldent be explained. 5 months later I started thinking somthing was going on and then I knew. I found out that she was seeing this guy and that they were having an affair. I came very close to ending it my own way with him but then had the better judgment that it wasnt worth it. We were divorced about 10 months later. She does not have much to do with her family, our sons or grandsons. Was it geocaching that did this, NO. Will it help, probably not.
  11. That right there is cause enough for concern in my book. If you could say boats NEVER get on this string of lakes/man made river, I'd say go for it, but since there is a chance of a random night fisherman coming along and seeing a box with a flashing light in it submerged just below the surface.... See where I'm going? Calling out the bomb squad is expensive. Bringing in a marine minesweeper? Can't be cheap. The second thing that concerns me is the 'string of lakes/man made river' bit. What exactly is this body of water? Water storage area behind a dam...cooling lake for a nuke plant...etc. Basically, is it somewhere that might cause problems for cachers seeking the cache? This is a park area that the city has made. Basic runoff area the city has also made pumps to keep it moving. In the 8 years I have been going to this park I have seen only 2 boats and both paddle boats. No moter boats allowed. The area I am looking at is on the largest and the last of the string. 100% of the fishing is from docks.
  12. Wow, I think this is a first. No one has anything to say
  13. I am hoping that with it below the serface of the water the light will not be able to be seen untill you are on top of it. No boats normaly get on this small string of lakes/man made river. So hopefully no they wont.
  14. Ok Now the next question or should I start another post. Who has done the nasty while caching, Well we know about one now dont we
  15. I have two platinums and am thinking about getting a new gps. There are not many places to look around here and I was woundering what the forums thoughts were on the newest and the best out right now. Time to tell me about your new toys or what you are wanting to get. Thanks.

  17. Do you know how he did that? I want somthing that I can place in a air tight container and let it float just below the serface of the lake so it can be seen about dusk. I will use a total of 4 of these in this cache. Thanks and let me know about that chip. Rick
  18. LOL Prime. Used it and the location it shows is almost across town. At least 5 miles away. Woops off just a little
  19. Playing topless hide and go seek, Guys are shirts and the Ladys are skins.
