I found them once on the board but have lost the link and a search gets me nothing. Does anyone know where I can find them? Thanks

Why is it that I can log into the main sight and the site shows that I am loged in but then If I go to a persons profile to send them a message or go to a link of a cache page or other things like this, I have to log in again and it will not save my log in. It does this every time

Well I would like to update this post. I recieved the new unit and have had some problems that I did not have with the other on but have been working around them till yesterday. Had taken the batteries out to charge and when I replaced them I turned the unit on and no signals again from the sat.'s Not very happy right now with the company. Second question Do any of yu know the site address, on yahoo, for the magellan chat or what ever its called? Thanks.

A ziggle of cachers

I normally carry a cache repair kit. It has a good supply of different size Ziploc bags, camo tape, nylon cord, black tape, small logbooks, crazy glue and a business card that states that I repaired this cache. I also contact the owner about its condition and if it was repairable. I always place it back in the same location. Items that are destroyed are removed but if the logbook is messed up I bag it and keep it with the cache

I did a search but did not come up with a answer so here is my question. I have a Magellan Meridian Platinum and I would like to know if there is software that I can use that will let me store information from my gps to my computer, trips cache locations or just general info? If so would you mind telling me the name/link to this information. Thanks, Shadows

boy was I shocked, you know computers never lie I thought I had moved and did not remember it. My grandson reminded me that I was older the other day. Thanks I reintered and hope it fixed the problem One other question on the same topic. I know there is a link that will let you know of a new cache as soon as it is ok where is this?

Today I checked my email and the weekly cache updates in my area was there, but it wasnt. It was not my area but down near Houston???? Can someone tell me why? I checked my profile and the area code is correct, does this work on the longitude/latitude, if so where do I change it? Thanks, Rick

Its out of the factory and on the extended. So If I want a new one I will need to ask for another platinum or a different one that they carry. I hope that I can get a refund but maybe I can have them order another brand or somthing. Question is still what others rank up there with my mod.? Thanks, Rick

Well I hate to tell you this but I was just told by radio shack that mine could not be fixed. It also would not pick up the birds.

IvxIV, I liked it but Radio Shack I guess no longer carries it. So I hope I just get a refund but I bet that I get store credit. Well RadioShack called today and my Magellan Platinum seems to be unrepairable. Said they did not have the parts to fix it. I will need to talk to the manager on monday. I did ask about a replacement and was told they had the sport Track and Garman IQ as replacements. What are your thoughts on these. I am also thinking about getting them to send it to the Co. and getting it fixed there. When I got this I got the map package, unit, extra mem., and extended warrenty. about $400 - 500 total package. Yes I know but I wanted it then not later. What other mods are there out there that meet or exceed the platinum? Let me hear from you. Thanks, Shadow's

Start GeoCalc. Select the distance tab. Enter Point One: N 33 34.525, W 101 48.974 Note the spaces and the comma Enter Point Two: N 33 34.058, W 101 48.305 Select GO Well I did exactly as you posted and this will not work. Do I need to use the coord conversion first?

Ok I downloaded Foward/Inverse and then I typed in the coords for the nearest cache to the location where I want to place a cache. I then skiped the azimuth/distance and filled out the station 2 with the coords for my cache. Oh what goes in the slot for station in station 1. I hit enter and nothing happened. I tried fizzymagic. Now here am I to enter all the coords for one then the other? I did this and still nothing, so I do not know what I am doing wrong. Thanks, Shadows

The TB in question is named GoDogGo #****** I did the advanced search and the responce was No results were found for your search. I also did a search on the Id # and this came up, This travel bug hasn't been activated. (Moderator edited to remove TB tracking# )

I found a TB and then placed it in a cache today. When I loged my find and tried to add the Tb it said the bug was not active. What do I do? I am going back to check the # again but I am sure I got it right. Can I look up the bug by name, ( I did not see this option)? Thanks Shadow's

SECTION 1. Article 7, Chapter 17, Title 16 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding: "Section 16-17-605. (A) For the purposes of this section: (1) 'Geocache' means the container that serves the purpose of providing a place to store small items or logbooks which are intentionally placed by their owners. (2) 'Geocaching' means the activity of hiding a geocache container from public view for the challenge of participants using a global positioning system (GPS) device and internet published coordinates to locate the geocache. (3) 'Letterboxing' means an activity similar to geocaching in which the participant takes directions and uses those directions to find a hidden object. The directions normally are in the form of a riddle, and the hidden object is a stamp that the participant uses to stamp a piece of paper to prove he has visited the site. ( It is unlawful for a person to engage in the activity of geocaching or letterboxing in a cemetery, archeological sites, or on the historic properties of the State, as defined in Section 60-12-10(4). © A person who violates the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not more than one hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty days. (D) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection ©, the judge, in his discretion, may order a person convicted of a violation of this section to perform up to one hundred hours of community service. (E) The provisions of this section do not preclude a person from being charged with a violation of Section 16-17-600 in addition to a violation of this section." SECTION 2.
