I'm sorry that this happend to you and I hope that your ankle is ok. I also do coin hunting, I have been shot at (On public property), I have been followed, My truck has been broken into and the last straw was when 2 guys tryed to rob me. I now have 9mm reasons for them not to bother me. Its sad that things like this happen but you have to take care of your self and those who are with you. With the moble crack labs you never know what you might walk into. I think this is what was going on when we were shot at.

I have had people tell me the same thing but if you can get them to try it some will get hooked on it. I have had 4 people come up and ask me what I was doing I showed them and explained 2 are now geocachers and having a great time.

Ok, is there any way to use the IP address to locate someone? If so how? Is there a way to block someone from doing this?

I would like to know how I find My ip address. I find the providers but cant find mine. Also can I use this address to find my location on Google earth? Thanks, Rick

I down loaded this and have a question. How do you get the coordinates to match those on gps. Example, I looked up a spot with google earth and it came out N 33 34' 29.85" W 101 48' 48.69" I dont know what that exact spot would be on my gps but I know that it would not be in this format. Is there a way/setting to get G.E. to match format on gps or do you have to convert this some way? Thanks

I dont know. I have used the same page you are talking about but will not work. When I work on my cache ideas I use microsoft word does this make any difference? Does it make any difference as how you save a file? Look at Lateral thinking cache. The code there is what I want to do but useing a different faunt that I scanned into my computer. I took that scanned file then did a cut and past to get the code I want to use on the cache page. I then saved this so I could add it to the cache page when I had everything ready. Now I cant do anything with it as far as the cache page.

Yes I do each and every time. Still dont work. Can you tell how he does this then. I save the images as JPEG fies. Then the Image must be placed on the internet, I do this by adding the image to my file under my profile, Next I copy the URL for the JPEG and place it in the HTML below. The X's represent the URL for the JPEG <img src="XXXxxxxxxxxx"> Do not use the X's I just placed them as a referance. When you load the cache page you will have to select the bos that says the description below is in HTML Adding the code message to my cache page is a pain. Others tell me its simple even to them. Now that makes me feel real good Is there a program somewhere that will take the guess work out of doing this? Somthing you can just type in your message and it puts it in html? Thanks

If so how or where do I get it. Oh, Im talking about attachments, being able to add photos in my account or being able to upload files to my cache page. Several people are trying to help me but what they are telling me to do just isnt there or I just cant find the place to do it. I also cannot save my password to any page here. I mean that if I leave this area and go to my controle pannel I have to enter a pass word and vice versa. Got a note that my cookies must be turned off, checked not turned off. Whats going on. Rick

I would like to ask a question along these same lines. Started to post this question but in doing a search first I found this post. I think this is about the same thing I am wanting to do. I have a file (on my computer) of a message in a special faunt. I want to add this message to my cache page. How do you do this. I have everything ready to post the cache except this. This is a very small hospital and I have never seen anyone even go into this garden. Its not like most hospitals that you might be use to. Its almost a out Pt. hospital. Only a 4 bed ICU. No trauma, limited ER. We do a limited number of total joint replacements there and these Pt.s are on the second floor. First floor is usually empty office area. I was thinking about the gps part. That was one thing I needed to work out. I was thinking about making this a multi with one outside with clues to get inside to the garden. To get to the garden all you need to do is enter the main door, walk down a short hallway turn and go through the door to the garden, so its not like you have to hunt all over to find it. Still thinking about it but again wanted to see what others thought. Thanks

I just tried to find info on where I want to place a cache but did not find any topocs. So......... Have you, do you know of, or would there be a problem, in placing a cache in a Hospital location? I do work at a Hospital that has a garden in the middle of it. It is outside with trees, plants ect. but is walled off on all 4 sides. There is only one door that will let you into it, so you would have to go into the hospital its self to get to the garden. What do you think? Would this be one of the hands off areas? Would really be a great place to put one. Thanks

Its a hint in case they get stumped. But they must solve it with the information given on the cache page but only if they need it.

No just a hint to find the cache. Cache is on one side of town but wanting to know if I can use an area with several historical markers (letters in the markers numbered and these numbers will be at the cache) for a hint to find the cache. They will not need to hunt the marker as its location will be given on the cach page. They will just need to solve the hint.

Can you have a hint for a cache close to another cache?

lol Ok, so what you are telling me is that you use these programs to load cache data and then map them, right? What if you want to check on caches as you go some where? Is there a way to be online as you travel? Will these programs tell you the distance from one cache to another. And last but not least, (for now,lol) I am looking for a site that I can list the longitude and latitude (not just of a cache) and be able to get a map of where it is? Thanks again Rick
