Cozumel is great with a few caches that i didnt have time to grab. i didnt even look on belize because i really didnt like the city. In my very limited opinion it is the worst tourist trap i have seen in my life. we got off the boat for less than 20 min and just left

Member Only Cache Found By A Non-member
greengolftee87 replied to SevenFortyOne's topic in General geocaching topics
Before i became a premium member i had the same problem. eventually the cache became regular and i was able to log my find. For those who plan on searching for more MOC's you can cut down your search radius by figuring out coords that are close and then search for caches from that spot. if you guess close enough GC.com will give you the # of feet or miles down to 1/100 of a mile. -
Check out the comercial "jenny" 2nd from the bottop - she gives him a peice of paper with coords on it but i cant read the last two or three digits - a little help from those who can

Having To Explain Geocaching To Local Police

Beleve it or not I have had more run-ins with the cops trying to play home run derby at a local baseball diamond than geocaching. -
Is There A Standard For Trading Tracks?
greengolftee87 replied to myjeeprocks's topic in GPS technology and devices
i really want this to work but i just cant get it. i can get the track to work perfect in g7towin but that program does not support usb. if i open the track in easy gps i get nothing, not even in the menu bar. I also have gsak and it is the same thing as with easy gps Is there a way do show the track on easy gps or mapsource or gsak -
Is There A Standard For Trading Tracks?
greengolftee87 replied to myjeeprocks's topic in GPS technology and devices
you would have to upload the tracks/waypoints in G7towin to your GPS, and then launch the program of your choice (in your case it would be mapsource) and then download them from your GPS. IIRC, easy gps will read the file too, if no you can open it in G7towin and save it as whatever you like. hope that helps sarah i cant figure out how to make g7towin send to usb or how to open a track in easygps, it just comes up as a blank screen -
Is There A Standard For Trading Tracks?
greengolftee87 replied to myjeeprocks's topic in GPS technology and devices
once you open the file in g7towin how do you get it on your gps. the only programs i have found to transfer to a 60cs is easy gps and mapsource and g7towin doesnt save as a .mps file -

Is There A Standard For Trading Tracks?
greengolftee87 replied to myjeeprocks's topic in GPS technology and devices
wait? are you saying that if i download a track from my gps. save it and then someone else tries to open it on their computer it may not work unless the person you are giving it to has the exact same software. if this is so. does easy gps have a track recieve function. and what to you mean "maybe they could download straight from your GPS?" -
from what i understand i think that the 60c and 76c suck too much power for a mini usb but the legend and vista dont

Avantgo’s Web Channel Manager
greengolftee87 replied to drag-racer's topic in GPS technology and devices
please let us know how it turns out. before i became a paid member i tried to use avant go with cache pages and it would always return an Ip address error. I still think it would be useful so if you find a way to do it please post it. -
How Many Gpsr Units Will Not Project Waypoints?
greengolftee87 replied to GEO.JOE's topic in GPS technology and devices
I got the exact same as GEO.JOE using a 60cs set to TRUE not MAGNETIC -
Thanks for all the replies. i will include in the cache description that it is a micro inside of a regular sized container. I dont know why i didnt think of that before
-
im working on a cache and im not sure what size it actually is. it is a 4inch diameter pvc pipe with a micro inside of it, but i will be placing both of them. so is the cache a micro or not. you will need to remove the pvc to get the micro and due to the construction of the pvc pipe i cant make itself the cache
-
I havent found many myself but usually in the cache description the owner will tell you that it is a cache with a theme. such as all trade items start with an A. or sports realated items

i also have the same problem, garmin better come up with a solution because spending more money on maps is not an option

Garmin Vs Meridian Reception, Please Comment!!!
greengolftee87 replied to the_malcoms's topic in GPS technology and devices
from what i have heard they have the same antenna but the legend has a pc connection so you can download mass waypoints and even more detailed maps. i used to have a legend but try and go to a store that has them on display. there is no better way to get a feel for them -
I cant take credit for this but it was posted by bcaloia on one of my caches
-
yes the maps are loaded

im going to restart this question because i think i am misleading people. i have 60cs and metroguide v5. IF i use the autorouting feature on the pc and then send the route to the 60cs, it will show up in the route page. if i select it, then press navagate, i get an option. on road or off road. If i select off road it draws a stright line to the last point of the route. If i select on road i tries to calculate its own route to the last point, but because metroguide does not support routing on the gps doesnt follw the premade route, how can i just navagate a route that i already made
-
did he get paid to write that? i have nothing against what he wrote but doest it even serve a purpose. the only reason i read the first sentance is because someone posted a link, the only reason i kept going is because it was about geocaching and i already knew what that was.

acnt say for sure but i remember mine being a really tight fit.
