Good luck team Portland! As much as I'd love to attend GCF wherever it is, I can only attend if Portland! So Let's keep Portland Cached!
Well.. all we can do is wait for the announcement - it's pretty much out of our hands at this point.

Portland has submitted a bid ~ There were 2 videos and a written plan for the event submitted. I believe it would be up to the selection committee to release the written bids for any of the submitted locations, however, one of the two videos for Portland can be viewed
. It's worth watching and is uniquely Portland!~J

Coin ?
in Trackables
The only OTHER instance I can think of are NON-TRACKABLE coins, wooden nickels and various other signature items that aren't trackable.
I'm not certain if 'cachekins' are listed on the "All Geocoins" tab, but if they are (since they are trackable), they are NOT Geocoins... they are trackable aluminum travel tags that have been screenprinted and not enameled.

Coin ?
in Trackables
All the info you seek is in the pinned threads at the top of this forum. That would be the first place you should look. All trackable geocoins are listed on the Geocoin home page here. Select the "All Geocoins" tab for the complete list.
Groundspeak also provides a list of approved vendors for Geocoins and geocaching gear on the next tab on that page.
Good Luck and welcome to the mad, mad world of Geocoins! (Try not to get addicted... you've been warned!)

There is a pinned thread at the top of this forum for such requests... you should try there.

For NEW coins - There is the Groundspeak Approved Vendor list (linked in post #5). For Older/Vintage coins - there is a pinned thread (linked here) that you can trade or purchase. Non Trackable coins are not allowed to be offered for sale or bartered on the Groundspeak forum.
I would stay away from eBay unless its absolutely necessary and you are jonesing hard for THAT coin.
The AVL is your best bet. You will be able to find a variety of geocoins ranging in price from $5 - $25 depending on the vendor. FYI - Cachekins are NOT geocoins. They are aluminum trackable tags and you can find them from some vendors (or even on this forum) for as little as $3.
This forum is also used to announce new geocoins that are going to be produced/minted in the near future, usually with a link (if it is already available) or guidance as to where you can find it when it becomes available.
Good Luck!

Not to be critical, but $8-9 for a 1.5" coin is a bit steep to me. I could justify it with a complex design, but this looks to be pretty simple.. JMHO
