  2. It will be closed because threads such as these tend to lead to a string of advertisements for individual companies ~ Please refer to the list of approved vendors in the pinned thread at the top of these forums, make inquiries, do your research. (That's pretty much what Eartha will say about this thread)

  3. We just got back from the emergency vet and had to put our dog down tonight. I am looking for a Rainbow Bridge coin. I would like to get it for my wife. If someone has one to spare, I have lots of coins to trade but the newest I have is the 2010 Wisconsin coin. Either PM or Email me, thanks.

    John,

So sorry to hear that... give my love to Sharon.

    Miss you guys!

  4. Wow... I don't know what to say here...

I "RARELY" if ever post to this thread because very rarely do I ever receive any coin mail. I have to tell you all a little story here. About a month ago, I went on a mission to track down and put back into circulation, some coins that were missing from caches around my area of town. SO... after I did some cache maintenance, I 'retrieved' all the coins I found and posted a note to each one of them that I had recovered their geocoin from the vast unknown (more or less, but not exact verbiage).

So I go retrieve the mail this afternoon and there is a bubbler addressed to me, from someone I have never heard of before. Inside the bubbler was a very VERY classy stationary envelope with my name written on it. On the reverse of the envelope was a wax seal... and I'm thinking to myself "Who still does this?"

I open up the envelope (not disrupting the wax seal) and reveal this beautiful note which reads:

    Jim,

Thanks for saving my geocoin. here is another for you to do with what you wish.

    Jef

    "SNSpencer"

I'm thinking to myself... how flippin' cool is that??

Having said that... I just want Mr. Spencer to know that his gift had truly taken me aback, and I am most appreciative of the gesture :)

This was not a mystery coin, nor was it any type of popularity contest - it was straight up thoughtfulness - and that's the best gift of all...

  5. Not all geocoins who wander are lost...

On July 6th 2008 this Team Van Stoffelen's Geocoin with a mission started it's mission at Cinemaboxers Swap-A-Rama (GC13XEY). It's goal was to travel to Team Van Stoffelen's backyard geocache Rondje Tuikwerderrak (GC17VK3). After more them two years and 8.849.1 km of travelling Team Van Stoffelen retrieved this geocoin on September 22th 2010. Mission completed!

    But now...

    <snip>

    Well, well, well...

I am extremely happy to hear that a coin that "I" started out while still 'CinemaBoxers' made its way home!

So, here is another mission for you...

Fall into Caching Geocoin: Team Van Stoffelen's "Mission Complete" Geocoin!

Mission: Make my way to the US West coast to EUGENE, OR to GeocoinGuy's Geocoin Swap-a-Rama! (GC25FKT)

  7. As I sat around trading things at the Meet and Greet today before GCF, I picked up my box of traders. I only had a few types, so I was showing them what I had. I grabbed one of my Li'l Dreamer coins, and pulled it out of the box except..it was a geohonu!!!!

I was so shocked!! It is the gold and green one, and it's so gorgeous!!! I immediately showed it off to Vanelle and we both proceeded to squee (there's no other word that really describes what we did other than that) over the coin.

Thank you SO MUCH mystery coin person!!! It put a huge smile on my face!!

    That's AWESOME!! Congrats!!

    Awww... to Squee... <_<
