  1. Sure... I use Linux. MX Linux 19.1, with Garmin 64S, QlandKarteGT, online Geocache maps. I download PQ's and install in GSAK running on Wine. Works good.
  2. I use the 60cs all the time. I rarely use the electronic compass feature. I find it unreliable. An old army compass is way better. I DO use the gps moving compass all the time. As long as you are moving around, the needle points to the cache, pretty accurate. I compare it with my 12map and my 76map and all seems about the same. The electroninc compass works OK some of the time, but I mainly leave it turned off. Saves the batteries to leave it off too.
  3. I maintain a memorial travel bug. Check out Phantom Menace. A memorial to Capt Ed DeBee. I highly recommend the practice. His family loves it. It has been muggled once, and lost for 2 years, but now it is circulating again. During the "lost" period, it was in the hands of a soldier deployed overseas so it wasn't really lost. I'm currently planning some more.
  4. We we find a cache that has a totally wasted, wet, soaked, useless log in it, we replace it with a waterproof log. We have been getting them from waterprooflogs.com
  5. I have been using waterproof logs that I purchase from waterprooflogs.com. Looks and feels like real paper, because it is. Not tyvek, not plastic. Takes pen and pencil very well. Holds up well even when underwater. Its really tough.
