  1. This can be done in bulk using the API. Once you have a filter of all the caches you don't want, go to "List Manager" under GSAK's "Geocaching.com Access" menu. Select your Ignore list, then choose Add Caches to List and specify all the caches in your filter.
  2. You don’t need to worry. West Virginia cache submissions are capably handled by two dedicated volunteers. If they ever got too busy, there are backups in place. Based on current new cache volumes, that’s not a concern.
  3. After seeing your report, I've just updated a half dozen pocket queries, and created some new pocket queries, across two different browsers (latest versions of Edge and Firefox) and using two different accounts. I did not see any Error 500 messages. What browser(s) and operating system are you using? Is the behavior persistent or sporadic?
  4. I moved this thread from the General Geocaching Topics forum section.
  5. There's no such thing as "deleting" a cache page from the database. Available options include: Archive the cache page you don't need. Recycle the cache page later on, for use the next time you want to hide a cache. Keep it disabled in the meantime. Adopt the page over to a separate account prior to archiving it - which is a bit of work, but keeps your list of caches clean if that's important to you.
  6. And I moved your post over to this thread, where it's on topic.
  7. I moved this topic of local interest from the General Geocaching Topics forum section.
  8. I moved this thread from the General Geocaching Topics forum, where the prevailing language is English. I can confirm that Cuba has had a country souvenir since 2019.
  9. The sole distinguishing feature of a Letterbox Hybrid cache is the presence of a letterboxing stamp. Otherwise, the cache takes on the character of, and is subject to all the listing guidelines applicable to, the underlying cache type. Find a container at the posted coordinates and sign the log: Traditional. Add a stamp: Letterbox Hybrid. Find something at the posted coordinates that directs you to another location, and eventually a container and log: Multi-Cache. Add a stamp: Letterbox Hybrid. Solve a puzzle or do something else to find out where to go first: Mystery Cache. Add a stamp: Letterbox Hybrid.
  10. The final stage of this multi-cache doesn't meet the Geocache Hiding Guidelines, and should be modified. The concept that the logbook must be enclosed within a separate container has been a requirement that Community Volunteer Reviewers have been directed by Geocaching HQ to enforce since July 10, 2007. (I'm staring at that directive in another browser tab, and it's crystal-clear.) Reviewers do not "approve" geocaches or their designs. We publish caches that appear to meet all of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines, and based on what's told (and not told) to us during the review process. In the first instance, it's up to the cache owner to be familiar with those guidelines and submit caches that comply with them. Publication by the Reviewer is not a guarantee that all Guidelines have been met. Reviewers don't delay publication to play "Twenty Questions" and obtain explicit answers for any possible Guideline issue -- "Prove to me that no digging is required, either to hide or find the container." "Prove to me that the original cache contents do not include any prohibited items." "Prove to me that the cache includes both a container and a log." Etc. etc. etc.
  11. The website seems to be working again. As this was a poorly written bug report, I'm locking the thread.
  12. I'm not sure what your question is, but congrats, you've made your first forum post!
  13. Adventures don't go through a review process, and the choice of locations is totally up to the account owner who received the Adventure credit. Everyone reading my post should remember this the next time someone complains about the mean Reviewer who is enforcing the .1 mile cache saturation guideline.
  14. I merged together a new thread and a bumped thread about the same feature request.
  15. Welcome to geocaching! The pinned thread, "Read First! Geocaching Frequently Asked Questions," tells readers how to write to Geocaching HQ and request a one-week free premium membership trial.
  16. As I see only one published event with this tag, and it's in California, I moved this thread from the General geocaching topics forum.
  17. On your cache page, find the "Published" log from your local Reviewer, and click on the link to go to their profile page. Send them an email through the Geocaching.com email system. Explain what went wrong, and provide the correct coordinates in your message. Use decimal minutes format for your coordinates to help receive a faster response. See this Help Center article.
  18. @FoundOneThong, I can see the two cache pages that you submitted for review on February 29th (which, by the way, isn't "nearly 7 days" ago, but I know it can feel that way whilst waiting to hear from your Reviewer). When your cache page is published, all of the previous Reviewer Notes are archived automatically. Neither you nor your Reviewer needs to remove them manually.
  19. On the project-gc.com website, select the "Tools" menu. In the drop down, under "Map-based," select "Map Not Found Caches." Complete the values for Country, Region/State, and County. Here's a direct link to that page.
  20. This functionality is not available directly on Geocaching.com. The closest approximation would be to set up a pocket query centered within the county, having a radius that covers the county, and checking the box for caches that have not yet been found. What you're asking for is available as a premium feature for paying members of project-gc.com.
  21. I've received dozens of emails from Geocaching.com in this time period, so it is possible that the problem is on your end. Have you checked your spam folder? Who is your email provider? If others are missing emails they expected to receive, please post details including the email provider (Gmail, etc.).
  22. Right now on Geocaching.com, you can only sort souvenirs alphabetically or chronologically. Adding a view by type of souvenir has been requested in the past as a feature suggestion. In the meantime, you can see what you are wanting to see by going to project-gc.com and looking at the souvenirs tab on your Profile Stats page.
  23. Geocaching.com strives to avoid becoming engaged in political debates. The geocaching platform supports geocachers - ordinary people like you and me who want to hide geocaches for others to find. That's true regardless of whether the cache is hidden in Afghanistan, Gaza, Russia or (nearly) any place else that might be embroiled in political controversy. Only two geocaches have been hidden in Crimea since February 20, 2014. Both were Earth Caches, set up by visitors from the Czech Republic. Are you somehow implying that publishing these two caches constitutes an endorsement of Russia's actions from and after that date? Are you suggesting that the Russian government is in any way involved with geocaches hidden in Crimea or Russia? Hint: they aren't.
