I can't beleive that people here are going to honestly try to say theres no difference between a straight couple getting it on in the bushes and two men having an*l sex in the bushes. You've got to be joking. The latter is completely worse than the former and would probably mentally damage some young kid who stumpled into view. Its not consistently that far off. Its sporadic. But my backtrack trail is shifted. I mean It usually has a similar shape as the outgoing trail but its shifted to the side. Sometimes the two will meet, but like I said its sporadic. At least 100 feet off at times, maybe more.

What are some causes of a gps being wrong? My Meridian Plat. seems to sometimes be off when I am backtracking over the same trail. sometimes it shows me up to 150 feet off the trail I am backtracking. Is this normal? There was some tree cover but I checked and it was tracking 6+ satellites fairly strongly. If I didnt know better and I looked at the tracks when I was done I would say I took a different trail. Any ideas? Finding caches seems to usually not be a problem. Could it have anything to do with the topo cd I have loaded?

Can someone tell me how to go about getting some USGS maps, preferrably as a download. I looked around the USGS website but I couldnt seem to find it. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

I recently purchased the Magellan Mapsend Topo maps cd. None of my computers have a serial port ( the price I pay for being up to date) so I figured I could just use the Scure Digital slot in my laptop. Well I called Magellan tech support and they said that my unit needs to connect to my computer at least once so that it will create some file and after that I could transfer using the card. Is there any way around this?? I just want to get some maps onto my gps and I dont want to have to shell out more cash for some lame adapter Ill never use again in my life. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Software companies already charge ridiculous prices. Its not uncommon for people in business to pay well over a thousand dollars for software that fits on a floppy. They charge whatever they can wring out of you, and they'll keep doing it as long as they can. If you're going to find a cause to save, choose whales or something. Leave everyone else who seeks an alternative to paying insane prices alone. You really think it costs Garmin over ten bucks to send you that cd you just paid $150.00 for? Sorry.

How exactly is selling software you own to someone else. or even giving it to them stealing??????? As long as your arent making copies of the original, you can dance around it naked in your front yard if you want to.

Do you ever revisit caches? Say to get a bug or something. Just wondering if this is frowned upon.

I recently purchased the Magellan Meridian Gold and I generally pleased with it. My question is this. Do you think its worth it to spend another 60 dollars of so and get the Platinum? Or should I just keep what i have. The compass would be nice i guess. I dont know about the barometer. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

So is the Magellan Mapsend TOPO cd-rom really that bad? I was reading some reviews on amazon and most everyone was advising against purchasing it. I figured you guys would know if anyone would. So is it really that inaccurate and lacking details? If so is there another alternative? Thanks in advance
