  1. Groundspeak sadly decided that 5 finds is a feature and they aren't going to change that. You don't have to create a new account you can delete 4 of the 5 stages afterwards if you wish to get 1 smiley instead of 5.
  2. I don't agree. Been over 2 years now since the new app has been introduced so they would receive a lot and a lot of complaints if they would reduce from 5 to 1 smiley now. They should have done that at the beginning like the community asked them but they decided to ignore us.
  3. I hope he already took a decision on what to do in the last 10 years
  4. Welcome to the world of AL that have opposites rule then the remaining of geocaching.
  5. There are so many red flags with that AL that it should be deleted by Groundspeak. Encouraging players to cheat.
  6. If I would be you I would report that adventure to HQ for being against the guideline that says they are free to play. Requiring a plane isn't what I consider free. Adventures are free to play You cannot require players to pay a fee for a product, service, or access.
  7. I concur, in my area there are over 1000 caches not having been found for 4.5 years and no risk of archival unless missing
  8. Yeah don't know why Groundspeak never put that feature of contacting the CO maybe it will come with the new integration of both app.
  9. That's why there are so few letterbox in my area and its a type that should be grandfathered. Making a different type just because of a Dollar-store stamp doesn't make any sense. In my opinion Adventures Lab are just rebranded Virtual and Wherigo merged together. I have only seen 2 AL that could be considered Multis. The rest are just random loations with a theme.
  10. According to the links from cerberus the answer would be 2.1M with 50% of them finding a cache every 3 months or more often
  11. Well only partially. Won't solve the issue with those widespread AL like the newest one in my province spreading more than 100km that can be done in any order.
  12. There are no rules in the guidelines that forbid to visit a waymark before the posted date as long as you can prove it you were there normally with pictures.
  13. At least in my area the number of multis is low so I don't recall last time I did 2 multis at the same time from different CO but AL it's common. Sadly Groundspeak has no plans to show different adventures location on the same maps so we are doomed to go back and forth between adventures...
  14. I think the distance is a bit more and closer to 20 miles in my experience from your current position when it's getting published. But yeah I am really surprised that no one at Groundspeak ever said (as far as I know) what the heck is the actual distance and if there are ways to adjust it.
  15. Got a similar issue with the App for Android. 3 times in the last month my data usage for the day spiked over 1 GB just using the app. I hope the new map that will get released will correct that issue.
  16. I am lucky in my area nobody did this sillyness of putting all 5 locations at the same spot. I hope you gave those 'Adventure' a rating of 1 star. I don't know why Groundspeak still push that cache type hard even if the community is strongly divided about them.
  17. Nope there are no way to change anything in the leaderboard.
  18. They don't expire anymore. For the date it would be the email that you deleted but it's not really important.
  19. Didn't have any issues either but I run Android 8.0.0 maybe it's why?
  20. Is someone at HQ can confirm they are working on this bug reported multiple times?
  21. Related Web Page as been discontinued and grandfathered so your suggestions is pretty unlikely to happen.
  22. Not sure how muggles will be able to find those bonus caches if they don't go to the geocaching app side unless they enter the coordinates on Google Maps and then wonder why no question popped up there. The muggled probability is low IMO. But I have no idea where Groundspeak is going with AL because the vision they share is pretty vague. It's still part of geocaching with the new souvenir promotions but at the same time they are trying to steer in the opposite direction by welcoming muggles.
  23. Hum could you please define how fast is ''Updating Quickly''? Under a year? Took at least 9 months to be able to hide completed adventures. A good start to reduce cheater would be to give Owner the ability to delete those Bogus logs. Could you share those future plan? Hum that doesn't make any sense that paragraph. You wrote that you wants to gives creator broad toolset available but at the same time you restrict them to only show one point on the app map or the character limits. Would be nice to see all non linear adventure on the app map because the numbers of story telling is really low here. It doesn't make sense I need to use an unapproved app to be able to do that so I can optimize my caching route without opening 10 adventures to double check their location.
