  1. 500 more??????? Our maps are already enough flooded of cheap +1 as it is in most areas. Why are you not fixing the app including the super requested feature of hidding completed AL and do the integration?Been over a year we are waiting. Listening to your community from time to time would be appreciated.
  2. Yeah I agree those kind of 'cache' are really hard to remove from the playing field because people are logging anything that looks remotely to a cache. The CHS won't do anything because NM doesn't give enough bad points to flag them and an NA is dependent on the mood of the reviewer. Groundspeak should modify their CHS algorithm to send email to a CO if NM got ignored from the CO after 3 months and then if it's ignored again for X months an email would be sent to the reviewer that would take required action depending of the circumstances. Groundspeak should encourage reviewer to take action with cache that have NM for a long time if they are taking quality geocache seriously. A good example is that one https://coord.info/GC2B7A4 with 3 NM has been NM for 10 yrs next month ?The logbook has been replaced so many times because the container was never waterproof from the beginning...
  3. Yeah I agree with you. I don't understand why Groundspeak put the first reason to put a NM is because of a full logbook. It's should be the last reason and instead they should change it for wet logbook.
  4. Yeah a good example for an NA because the NM got ignored would be this one you found recently https://coord.info/GC2GD8K What the heck people are logging since June when the cache dissapeared? Also most geocacher in California seems to love short log sadly...
  5. Yeah it's holding so much by duct tape that Groundspeak decided it's not secure enough to use it for images on geocache page...
  6. Finally, took them a long time. Now the question is if Groundspeak will delete all those bogus log.
  7. Hum you didn't have to hide its name. It's a bot creating havoc right now.
  8. "When you go to hide a geocache, think of the reason you are bringing people to that spot. If the only reason is for the geocache to be harder than a 1.5/1.5 Park and Grab that take more than 15 seconds to find, then find a easier +1 spot." - Groundspeak 2020
  9. Groundspeak direction currently is at the end of the day only Adventure Labs will remain. They stripped so much statistics from it to be almost totally anonymous and are suggesting us to archive our less find/loved cache. I guess Groundspeak didn't archived all of them not to repeat the locationless cache debacle. If Groundspeak wish webcam cache to stay they wouldn't had banned adoptions or moving them to an another working webcam if there are issue with the current one. Doing that they are hoping they will slowly dissapear from the map. So there are 0 chance they will be back ever.
  10. For a virtual and earthcache the picture showing you is only OPTIONAL. The only requirement is the picture show something that belong to you. The other big issues with webcam is 90% of the time the cache owner doesn't even have any control on the operation of the webcam.
  11. Sadly it's ''Modern'' geocaching. That why Adventures lab exist to boost numbers...
  12. With all privacy concern it will never happens so forget about it.
  13. Hum so strange it seem to log every cache from GC346C and going up Clearly a bot 905 finds and going up at lightspeed
  14. That 'update' was 4 months ago in August according to my research on this Forum. Didn't get a real update for a long time. Not really at update IMO. They put all the icons the same color so they blend even more on the map , add an icon for less than 30 days old AL that nobody understood at first and a notification alert for new AL under *20miles/32km if your app is open and you are currently in that range circle. * That distance is a guess because no one from Grounspeak ever confirmed the existence of that feature. Here the link for the Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/398208544343011
  15. There are no visiting a waymark instruction in the category. We have to go to the spot of the waymark and found an empty spot or finding that same vehicle somewhere else?
  16. Yeah I know 2020 has been a long year and we forgot stuff but no one use the research founction in the forum? Georgia and North Carolina in January here the Help Center link 7.18 https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=946
  17. Nope it was 2 completely different CSV file. But yeah I confirm the bug on Firefox neither are working at the moment.
  18. Just did a quick search and 58% of caches in my province have 0 FP (was expecting more around 75%). Groundspeak are you seriously suggesting to archive 58% of geocache in my province? 32% Worldwide 1M geocaches???? Also if people are archiving lonely cache like you are suggesting it's highly unlikely that someone would be a new one there.
  19. 8 months later any update on this highly requested upgrade?
  20. Well according to the Guideline picture aren't acceptable proof and if you don't write your name on a random piece of paper that will be wet next week and be unreadable you shouldn't claim a find on that cache. I prefer using common sense and also log a find on those kind of garbage cache that are everywhere in my province.
  21. How we would waymark moving vehicles? Similar to the U-haul category? In Canada the only one I can quickly think of are the Red Bull cars. How waywarking those would work?
  22. Parking/trail head coordinates should be mandatory on every cache page.
  23. In my area the reviewer was publishing events with the 50 threshold. Sadly its a was because the second wave is beginning here and the number is dropping to 5 people...
