  1. I don't consider those to be cheap when you get get them at most places for under $5
  2. For that kind of pricing you could buy your own tracking system and have it sent to your computer. I just saw links somewhere on this forum the other day to tracking units.
  3. Glad I could help. Now get out there and start caching
  4. ashleedawg I also have a Sport Trak Map. I have been thinking about buying a new GPS but so far I can not find any good reason to replace what I have now. I have had it since May of 2003 and I have never once had a problem with it. Its just the right size, easy to use and accurate. With the Sprot Trak Map, Palm Zire 31, cachmate and GSAK I feel that I have a great caching setup. It has also helped me out many times on the road when traveling.
  5. Someone logged another find on my one and only cache just today.
  6. You may be even more confused when I tell you that it is called Mapsource MetroGuide.
  7. Too much paper involved in the posts above. Get yourself a cheapo Palm (under $100) cachemate ($8) and GSAK (free with nag screen $20 registered). Oh and you can become a member here for $3/month or $30/year. Being a member will allow you to run pocket Queries and load all the nearest caches into your Palm. This will save you tons of money in ink and paper. Plus it is much easier then printing everything else.
  8. I think its because cachemate does everything that you would need it to do with ease. Also, you can load files to it right from GSAK.
  9. You can just run another one. You can run up to 5 per day.
  10. How in the world do people reach when it is that high????
  11. No you will not get any of that on a 60csx. Just pick up a cheap palm and run cachemate on it. With cachemate you will get every bit of info on the cache including the last 5 logs to it.
  12. For $300 and the newest version of Topo 6.0 is not bad at all. No its not bad at all but I already own all the software I need.
  13. Umm so is and ipod. Anyway, I really don't have a problem with the internal batteries. My Dell DJ 30 has non replaceable batteries and I just throw it on the charger after each use. No big deal.
  14. When you are in GSAK click on file, export, then Cachmate PDB file. When the window pops up place check marks in everything under where it says Install to palm after conversion. You will notice that in those options that there are boxes for logs and to decode the hints. You should be all set after that.
  15. Are you loading .GPX files or .LOC files? They have to be .GPX files in order to get what you want.
  16. It would be nice if they offered it without the software since I already own an Earthmate with DeLorme's Street Atlas 2006 sofware. I also have 2005, 2004, 2003, SA Deluxe and just the regular old version of Street Atlas. I think I also have Topo USA laying around here somewhere.
  17. If you look at his bio it says "Biography: Just love doing this with/without using GPS." I would have to say that he didn't get that many finds without a GPS.
  18. Your welcome I guess you should have made yourself more clear in the first place.... Running a Querie is still the way to go though.
