  1. Why not bring a face mask for the smogs as well, and don't forget your umbrella and bowler hat so you don't look out of place. Sterotypes, don't you just love them?!
  2. Alternatively, enter the numbers given on the cache page, follow the arrow, have a hunt around the general area and find a tupperware box
  3. I've never had any problems with my iPaq 4150. Lovely bit of kit.
  4. I often read this forum but rarly post. Is it me or is it becoming a knoking shop these days. Theres always someone moaning about someone else. I always reckon that if you dont have anything good to say then say nothing. There, Ive now gone and done just that. Drat.
  5. Is it too late to question the design of the English coin? While I'd like one or two I'm a bit concerned that it seems to be dominated by the "3 Lions" of the England football team's Logo/Flag rather than the St George's flag of England. What was the thinking here?
  6. I have never come across the word "attemptig" before and neither has my thesaurus . You are right of course. At least I tried. I stand corrected for missing out a letter.
  7. Stupid? - Possibly but I hope not, just having difficulty understanding your post. In order to help I have spent some time attemptig to translate it into normal English. If I have misunderstood please feel free to make any corrections. Maybe its a coincidence but I notice from your profile that one of your hobbies is "playing the muppet". Perhaps this is an example.
  8. ???? Any chance of an English translation?
  9. Although the language is very "direct" he has every right to express an honest opinion. If people were a little less reticent about criticising caches they felt didn't "come up to the mark" maybe cache quality would go up. And no I haven't visited these two caches so I can't comment on what they are like, I'm just saying that logs are meant to be an honest expression of a finder's opinion.
  10. Well said Andys101 & Miss Redfrock
  11. Really?! I thought politics, greed and corruption - Oh yes, and a bit of professional sport (Olympics, not Geocaching). However, as it's going to be here let's all enjoy it North, South, East and West. And let's all try and not to lose too much sleep over the disappointment across the Channel
  12. That's how I felt until a couple of days ago, but the thought of that arch p**t Chirac gloating after a French win changed my mind. It has to be worth the cost if only to wipe the smile off his face.
  13. The value is that if lots of people enjoy a cache (for whatever personal reasons) it gets rated highly, if lots of people think it's rubbish it'll get a low rating. If there's a mix of opinion it'll end up in the middle. Sounds reasonable to me.
  14. I guess that as American taxpayers paid for the satellites that we use I don't begrudge them the odd little perk
  15. I think Slytherinalex was trying to make the point that it would be easier to read a message if it was presented in a form that wasn't so "cramped", not that he was discounting what was said. In case anyone is unsure, a very simple rule that can be followed to make things easier to read is "after a full stop (.) leave one space and start the next word with a Capital letter". Forget more complicated rules about commas, semicolons etc. if you will but try and use this one This is meant to be helpful to all, and is NOT meant to be "getting at anyone". I'll get back in my box now
  16. Checking out some caches today I see that a cacher called Lost in Space has just got over 500 finds. As there's no thread to congratulate him I thought I'd start one.
  17. Can I do this on my own. I usually go caching with my mum and dad. Whats GAGB
  18. On Saturday there was a large brush fire at Frensham Common and my son had to call out the fire brigade. Be aware that Big Pond and Ickle Pond caches by Tim & June may well be affected. Bear this in mind if you are caching in the area.
