  1. **Facepalms. Turns off "DRAFT", posts log.**. I blame my faux pas on doing this after a week at WDW with 79 miles walked, and not enough rum drank.
  2. So... on the 12th of February, I located a Virtual Geocache, took a pic with it, wrote to the CO owner with the correct answer, and a day later, was told "Correct! You got it! Thanks for Visiting." and now, three days later, my log still shows as a Draft, and the Map Pin on the GC Map of the Virtual is blue with an ! on it. The CO was logged in today, the 15th, and still my log has not posted. What would you do? I have already asked if there is something else I need to do, and have gotten no answer. Help?
  3. I haven't looked on FB yet for new Geocaching/Munzee Buddies in my area. If anyone is interested. I hunt the 510/925/415/408 area codes in Northern California. Hit me up here, or on my profile.
  4. I only take pictures of cache logs when they are too wet, or destroyed by poor containers to sign. I have also sent the CO a picture of their cache with the log missing, and I had no spares to insert. This happened just yesterday. I have also used blood to sign a cache. Just a thumbprint thanks to an injury incurred while finding said cache. Liquid eyeliner works too.
  5. Ditto, AND they are not showing up as FOUND on the Geocaching.com Mobile app Maps. That makes for a real pain in the a** when you are out in the field if EVERYTHING looks unfound. Not happy about this AT ALL considering I am a paid user of the website, and the Official App. And though it's not supposed to be said, but even on OTHER Mobile GeoApps, everything is showing up as UNFOUND, and not IDing my caches either.
  6. Amen. I don't need Souvenirs to motivate me to cache. I had no idea of it's existence until another cacher told me to go look at my profile today to see the new "present" for logging caches on 10-10-10. I found caches yesterday just because I am trying for a consecutive streak, and to help with the Record setting. Exactly why some of us aren't all that fond of them. Groundspeak seems, once again, to be trying to follow "the next big trend" instead of staying true to the userbase that built them in the first place. Friends. Twitter. Blogging. Etc. OK, in fairness, I can understand the need to feel that they must keep up or be left behind, but for many of us, its changing the game from something mostly done outdoors, to something mostly done behind a computer. If I wanted to do that, I would have a Facebook account, a Twitter account, and so-on instead of coming here. Personally, I would rather see some of the existing features made better before adding new features (remember bookmarks? maps that actually set filters for your PQs?). But that's just me. Or, is it?
  7. Do you know what I find frustrating? People forming TEAMS in a local area, then placing batches of caches that the members of that TEAM all seem to find for the FTFs within MINUTES of publication. Repeatedly. Collusion? Padding Numbers? Greedy and wrong. Just sayin' how it looks from someone who WASN'T asked to be a part of this local team, and yes, we all know each other and have met several times. Not being asked to join sort of hurt my feelings, but I got over it. Until this cr** started. If this is how this hobby is going, I am going to find a new hobby. I get enough cliques in other places.
  8. Now I know what this reminds me of. Quests and Levels on Super Poke Pets, or Neopets.... Nytshaed
  9. Ditto that question. 'specially since I was JUST in Hollywood two weekends ago stalking rockstars, getting a new tattoo, and caching all the way... Nytshaed Not really needing more 'fluff' in her life.
  10. Even when they TELL you to contact them at their Admin Email, or at the Cache Page? I did as I was instructed. I resubmitted the cache three days ago, and no answer via email or log. "You may also email me at namehhidden@geocachingadmin.com or go to your cache page and email me via the link to my profile on the log entry. [red]Please be sure to mention you are referring to cache GCXXXX.[/red] Now what? Nytshaed most of the time you're not supposed to email the reviewers like that, but rather post a reviewer note on the cache listing and then enable it again.
  11. I'm in the same boat, sort of. I am trying to get a cache approved and had it Suspended, or whatever the Not Approved Status is by one of the Volunteer Reviewers. I immediately wrote back with questions pertaining to it, no reply. I wrote to ANOTHER Volunteer and got a snarky reply about only dealing with the FIRST Volunteer on my case. I moved the coords for the cache, wrote back to the First Volunteer indicating that in the Cache Log section, and I haven't heard from him/her/hym/hyr for four days now. Do I risk another admonishing by another volunteer by asking them, or what? I have since submitted another cache that was approved and set right up by the second Volunteer I contacted, so it would appear that just the First Volunteer is not replying, or not getting my log replies? I've checked my spam numerous times a day, and I am using a netcom email address via Earthlink servers. I've also contacted them via GC.com and through their own GC.com related email. I am at a loss here. Nytshaed Coroner of Muggled Caches
  12. OK. I will make the questions quick and simple. 1. Is there a way on GC.Com to search by TERRAIN, or DIFFICULTY types? I want to see what the higher challenge caches look like without hours of blind map searching. 2. Is there a way to search on GC.com to look for TYPES of caches and have them listed by location nearest to farthest on ones such as Virtual, or WebCam? So far all I've found is the ability to search by state. 3. Is there some Secret Hand signal, or shout out to give in the field when you suspect you see another Cacher, but don't want to blow cover in case they are not. My husband is certain there has to be one. Thanks in advance for your sage answers. Nytshaed Molester of Sprinkler Heads and Bolts.
  13. Well. I've emailed Groundspeak. I guess I will hear from them eventually. Drew couldn't get it to come up either. Thanks for the help Drew! Nytshaed
  14. What about getting it made by one of those Custom Decal Guys on ebay, or in my case, at the local county fair? You could provide a copy of the TB art, and just have them include the TB number underneath. I opted for the window cling for my TB CacheMobile. Nytshaed
  15. This is the page I am on: Activate In the first box, I am entering the Number stamped on the Dog Tag of the Trackable. In the second box I am entering the Activation code from the card the tags came in. After I do that, I get the error message. What now?
  16. I got my package from Groundspeak today, and first of all placed the TB on my CacheMobile, activated it, and it's ready to roll except for a picture on it's page. When I tried to activate the regular Travel Bug, I keep getting this error message: The Travel Bug you requested does not exist in the system. I'm using the activation code, I have the TB # right. I've also tried them both all upper case, or all lower case. Nada. I've emailed GS, but it's Friday night, and I think I'm hosed until Monday. This BITES because I wanted to release it at an event tomorrow. Does ANYONE have any suggestions? Thanks! Nytshaed
  17. No, it wasn't at the time I posted the first log. I got the TB into my inventory finally, then went back and redid the log and was able to Drop it Off. Thanks for the reply! I'm slowly getting the hang of this Pick up and Drop thang... Nytshaed
  18. On August 2, I found a TB that had been MIA apparently for some months, and dropped into a cache without being logged. I've made two entries for the Item since then: 1. Discovered 2. Grabbed Now, I've dropped it off in another cache today on August 15th. HOW do I report that to continue the tracking. Item Number is TB122GQ Any help will be greatly appreciated. Nytshaed
  19. Hmmmm.... Looks like I will need a PC or PC emulator to run GSAK. Gonna try the other websites. Thanks for the leads! Nytshaed Apple Native since 1995. websites or software. Mygeocachingprofile Cachestats FindstatsGen Note that FindStatsGen also requires the use of GSAK. Since your a premium member the required MyFinds PQ will be easy to obtain. I use FindstatsGen.
  20. I've read a few of the Premium Members Profiles and noticed a few have a LOT of graphs, and tables, and other nifty breakdowns of all of their finds, caches they own, etc., etc. How do I get that on my profile? I am a premium member and am closing in on my fiftieth cache! Thanks in advance for the help. Nytshaed
