I went to look for the reservation for this and I guess it's over??? Was hoping I could have waited until I got back home to order some but I guess I missed the boat! If anyone got the set and doesn't need them all, I would be interested in trading for some (at least a nickel/silver and gold/bronze).

The preliminary draft of our event is done...just have to confirm the venue. This could be a tough one on Thanksgiving Sunday but geocachers always surprise me...! lol! Looking forward to seeing the final art for the coin...

As I was walking to the mailbox today with my reluctant companion, the streetlights dimmed for just a moment...all in unison. A low growl came to the throat of my protector and we paused....there was something... But then the feeling passed and we continued on...alert...on guard - for what, we did not know. The key in the lock, turning...the small door creaked open. I peered inside...tense with anticipation.... But all that lay inside was an envelope - silver - unassuming. Cointact has been made here in Canada - we have obtained #107 and will smile just a little each time we set eyes on it. Our first surprise mystery coin from the mail! THANK YOU! We love it!

Well, to be honest, you mentioned in your post that your coin would be done by the end of the week. So I really didn't think you were asking for honest feedback - since any suggestions would not be able to be implemented at this late stage in the production. But, I have to say that this coin is not really for me. I agree with JG -- the back doesn't have very much detail and this is probably the primary reason why I would not buy one. If the back looked different, I might try to arrange a trade for one.

Over the past week, I have received some neat coins. Special thanks to 2golfers, the heinz project, Lucecitka and Droo for gifts and trades. The golf personal and CITO coin were given to my friends and they were surprised and SO HAPPY! They are their first geocoins and though they had intentions of sending them out travelling, they are having trouble parting with them! lol! Anyway, here are the pics! (recognize this one kini_ont??) (sorry for the quality...scanner isn't so good and I don't have time to get out the camera set up)

I agree with others - trackable is not very important to me. I am very interested in this as well and hope it comes to fruition. Yes, perhaps an exception can be made about listing it for sale here (if it's not trackable) since it is more a tool for making MORE GEOCOINS!

whats the coin on the bottom? That's a new one by Landsharkz that they made for the Spring Fling Mega in Central Ontario this past weekend. It's quite pretty! Does it have a name? And, how about the green coin upper left? Sorry, I didn't actually ask Chris the name...I was too excited! I figure it would show up on their site eventually - I will post again when I know. The other one I do know...South Nation Conservation 2010.

I've been in a bit of a grump today so I thought looking through my coins might help my mood. I haven't really been keeping up with taking pics of my newest coins but I needed to get in here and post some of my newest acquisitions...because, well, I just love 'em! lol! Not the best picture 'cause it's night here, but here are the coins I bought at Spring Fling Mega yesterday and a couple you all know well from around here.

there is a thread on the forum that has TONS of display/storage ideas. I will look for it and post if I can find it. edited to add: FOUND IT! here is the link...click here I tried a few different ways to display my collection and unlike Odyssey Voyager and DJJ Rock, I keep mine in a toolbox of sorts. It is a Stanley 26 compartment storage case with lock and handle. It's pretty heavy now but compact and I am able to pull out my coins (sorted alphabetically) and look them over any time I want. I love it! I think I bought it at home depot.

What about something to do with "Perfect 10" -- 10-10-10 seems like a score/rating...could that be used in some way?

Well, there are a few other online shops that are selling this coin (they are distributors) so I would just google "big blue switch geocoin" and check the sites that pop up. edited to add: ok, so drneal beat me to it...but I was able to see a shop that had some in stock - they aren't in Japan but would most likely ship them there for you. I'm sure I have a brochure from Holland America Cruise that says "Oceanview" somewhere on it...I will take a peek.

Anyone have a 10 Years! Multi-Event Geocoin Kitchener Ontario version to trade or sell? They were available at an event in KW and one in Terra Cotta on the May 1st weekend.
