  3. Cute! I love that there is glitter! Will you have them in stock or just presales?
  4. Hey Laval K-9 - just wondering if you would consider sending out some names a bit early? I have been a mission host before so I know how much work it is and I am not trying to mess with your system! lol! But I just checked the holiday mail cutoffs for my other mission and noticed that Letter mail to Europe has a cutoff of November 29th. If we don't get names until the 30th, we run the risk of not getting it there by Christmas. Since you already have 50 participants...could you give out some names now and then another batch in a few weeks? Again, not trying to step on your toes...just worried about getting an international recipient that late in November...
  5. The 10-10-10 geocoin prompted some trades which got me trading other coins as well. So between all the trades and purchases, I have had some really great trips to my mailbox recently! Thank you to everyone who has traded with me...it has been a pleasure. And a reminder to everyone who is enrolled the missions coming up, please update your seeking lists! I have noticed during some of my reserach that there are some of you who have such short and tricky lists... Here are some pics of what's come in over the last few weeks....
  6. as soon as i have a pic of all my coins i'll contact you. If you know the names of them, just send me the list...I don't need the pics. If I don't happen to know what they are, I can find out easily enough.
  7. You could certainly do that. Or you post in the trading thread to see if anyone has some traders that fit your themes and are willing to trade you. The trading thread is pinned at the top of the Geocoin Forum. I actually have a chinese zodiac coin or two if you are interested in trading...send me a message through my profile and I will dig them out. Don't forget to include your list of traders. Good luck - it sounds like you have some good themes in mind!
  8. 39 Sharp looking coin - very traditional looking! ps - congrats on being smoke-free - I have never been a smoker but my mom was and she had a hard time until she deep down wanted to quit.
  9. If you do, you can go to the coin page and retrieve them from the cache that they are in (you will need the codes that are on the coins however for this to work). Then place them in the correct cache. You could make notes in your log to explain the error or you could just delete the logs where you placed the coins in the wrong cache and when you picked them up again. If you don't have the code, I would email the owner of the coins and explain everything with the hopes they will forward you the coins. Or, worst case scenario, you can post notes to the coin pages about the problem and when they get picked up by the next cacher, the two of you can straighten things out together as they will have the codes and the coins. Hope that helped.
  10. Do you still have the tracking numbers from the coins?
  11. Are you NEW to collecting and/or trading?? I am interested in helping a new collector to conduct his/her first trade. I have a Lotus Compass geocoin (couple of different versions available to choose from) that I am willing to trade for ANYTHING (even if I already have it) with a new collector. In addition, I will also throw in a personal ELTADA GeoJellies4 micro bean (Pomegranate flavour) with the trade. Just email me through my profile and tell me what coins you currently have in your collection and what coin you are willing to trade. *if you are an experienced collector and want to trade for a Lotus coin, I have more available so send me a message and we might be able to arrange something after I take care of this trade. Thanks. edited to add: the reason I am doing this is because I always remembered my very first trade and how nice bluecherry was when I traded with her. I traded a Titanic - Night Version for an Assassin's Creed Four Muskateers coin and still have it and her little signature item she sent along with it. For the longest time, I still considered myself a newbie until recently when someone mentioned that I was an experienced trader. I have been trading for almost 2 and a half years and it feels like yesterday when I started! So I thought I would help anyone who was just starting out with a trade...it's hard in the beginning when you don't know any coins and don't have a lot to trade.
  12. That was my favourite one too RSG! Here is the link.

  14. Definitely anything I give in a mission or trade is fair game - I figure there is no way that I can always get something off someone's seeking list for missions. So I anticipate that something I may give might be sold or traded in order to obtain another coin. In the end, the recipient is happy and that is my main goal with missions or trades. I would not be offended at all. In fact, sometimes I will trade with someone for a coin I already have (I did this recently in fact) because I don't like to turn down trades and I figure there is always a mission or math trade coming up anyway.
  15. I love the math trade!!! Now, the challenge will be, hanging on to some good coins for the list! Email sent.
  16. Was very happy with the response to my event - over 80 attended...not bad for a holiday Sunday (Thanksgiving in Canada)! Didn't sell out at the event - this was a good thing because I had enough left over to trade/sell with other hosts, collectors and locals that could not make it to the event. I have a small waiting list for any coins that become available but I have decided not to do a remint. Thank you to Avroair and Emma for their hard work on this project!
  17. Have not done a mission in a LONG TIME! Thanks for hosting this one! Email Sent: YES - October 15th Name Received: Mission Sent: Mission Received:
  18. avroair is right - if you don't want to work with a vendor, you can take reservations after you have samples made. This is how I did my first personal coin and it worked really well for me. It was a lot of work and money up front to do it, but what a fun process! From my perspective, I have had one coin design made but I have participated in a few group projects as well. I am working with an artist on another coin and have some designs in the idea stage only. So I am not an "established" designer. However, I am doing this for fun and every time I start a project, I do so knowing that the goal is not to make money. I am prepared to pay for the whole kitandkaboodle out of my pocket -- if people buy it, great! If not, that's ok too. So that's why I took reservations for my coin then added more on the top for trading and that's how many I ordered. I have zero resources plus I can't draw to save my soul! So I research, I learn, I read and try different things...all with zero expectations. I don't see it as competing with the big designers...that's not why I am doing this. It seems even when I don't know what I am doing, I am loving it!!! Enjoy the process!
  19. congrats JG - excellent card! Hope your dear hubby didn't have heart failure after your "OMG!" and the dropping of the phone...lol! Thanks to P&K for such a creative and fun cointest!
  20. Yep! It's Ontario, Canada. I am hosting an event near Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. But you are invited. just maybe a longer trip for you! lol!
  21. Definitely worth your time to make a list. We can certainly talk about non-trackables if they are being traded...just not sold. Looking forward to seeing what you have! Welcome back!
  22. It will probably show up - I sent a package to Australia back near the beginning of July and just arrived a week or so ago. Granted, I sent it surface ground (4-6 week delivery time) cause I was in no rush but don't worry yet!
  23. Here is a pic of the Ontario - Autumn Harvest coin!
  24. OMG! My husband is SO going to kill me when he sees I bought more coins!!!! lol! Oh well, had to compare the Bast to the Orisis in person to see which one I like better!
