  1. You should really lock this thread so more people don't "pre-order" any more coins.
  2. I asked for permission to use the Groundspeak logo on my coin but decided not to because I was not allowed to sale the coins if I had the logo on it. See the rules... Hmm, I took a look at the coin again and the Groundspeak logo was on it. Maybe the policy on logo usage and selling for a profit has changed.
  3. I think if you use the geocaching logo on your personal coin, you can't sell it for a profit. As for those trackable on gc.com, there have been some previously that have been sold for a profit.
  4. I believe f0t0m0m got their coins through coinsandpins and they're tracked on gc.com. See this page: Coinsandpins
  5. If any silver orders fall through, I'd like one. Thanks!
  6. You gotta use your public link: http://cointracking.com/public/Mauison Oops! Thanks!
  7. That's the second coin from the geocoin club, the first being the first finders coin. I guess everyone will be getting theirs soon.
  8. I joined too! Mauison's Geocoin Trading List
  9. I'd like to trade for one of my Mauison geocoins.
  10. I'd like to trade for one of my Mauison geocoins.
  11. You've got one coming from me already.
  12. You should try posting on thegba.net forums. Most of the Bay Area geocachers have migrated to that site. GBA - Geocachers of the Bay Area
  13. They're pretty rare so I'd say 250 sounds about right. There was also a .999 silver geocoin in 2004, limited to 100, that cost $35.
  14. Sorry, I misposted. Its 12 MD and 5 CO sold as of this afternoon. Some of the CO coins are going for more than $50 bucks! I'm not sure what IceCreamMan is referring to, there wasn't any dutch auction for 9 MD coins at a buy it now price of $12. (At least I didn't see it... ) Here ya go: MD geocoin auction
  15. I usually log it, then send an email to the owner with the answer. Sometimes the description will say to email the answer first, wait for a confirmation from the owner that it's correct, then log it.
  16. Do they look exactly alike? Like the bottom pic on Silvermarc's post? Because if they are, I'm pretty sure you have two 2005 coins.
  17. From what I've come across, I believe there were 2 versions of 2003 (I think they both had the same front design but different backs). I don't think there was a 2004 version. And the 2005 version is the raised version that can still be bought.
  18. Yep, it seems that those coins that are trackable on gc.com are bringing higher prices.
  19. I don't think these are trackable, only numbered. I'm sure someone could correct me if I'm wrong.
  20. RE: Hurrican Katrina geocoin It's been a long day so excuse the dumb question. Is the coin listed on eBay a single coin that is being acutioned or is that a bunch of them that are being sold for $10 each. It looks like it's a single coin up for auction. If it was more than one, there'd be a quantity listed.
  21. I just put one of my limited bronze (30 minted) Mauison geocoins up for auction for the American Red Cross also. Limited Bronze Mauison Geocoin
  22. It will be the stadard coin icon -- we cannot get a custom icon unless we are an organization and pay a fee for it. This would also mean we'd need to order many more coins. Currently, we are at 326 coins ordered, with more orders arriving. I'm pretty pleased thus far with the response and think we'll all have a fun coin that will hopefully travel a little! Standard coin icon
  23. I'm in Nurse Dave's group and I've deposited about $400 for about five months worth of coins. But we've also ordered the coins that your group won't be ordering ie: GW3, Midwest Geobash, etc. So I'd say anywhere from $50-80 a month. And remember that Paypal takes out 30 cents + 2.9% from every transfer/deposit you make. Hope that helps your budgeting.
  24. Hmmm, I always wondered how much my personal geocoin would go for on ebay. I think when I get home from work I'll auction off one of mine too...for the Red Cross of course.
