I usually get mine on eBay, comes out to around 22 cents each with shipping. Just check the various auctions to find the best deal. And don't forget the shipping charges.

Look at it this way, no one will ever have a 100% complete geocoin collection. So if you miss one or two along the way, no big deal. I've missed a bunch of geocoins and in the big scheme of things, there are more important things to worry about. As for it being a private sale, based on Groundspeak policy toward charities, it couldn't be advertised on the forums. On the "what I got in the mail today" thread, I see people posting "I got a super secret coin in the mail and I can't tell anyone about it" all the time. I don't get ticked at them for having a new geocoin and not telling anyone about it. And BTW, Happy New Year to everyone!

Yesterday we hiked for 1.5 hours to find a cache. The hint was "look at the pictures posted." Luckily, I had looked at the pictures before heading out to find the cache, as we were in a forest with total tree cover. I would've been pretty ticked if I was one of those cachers who only use the hint if they can't find the cache.

Were the NC coins in a regular envelope or a bubble mailer? Just asking, because when they send the regular envelopes through the sorter, it can cause the coins to force their way through the end of the envelope.
