  1. or: d) The tractor driver, driving along a public road, refusing to pull in and let other public road users, pass.
  2. DOSE: " a measured portion of medicine taken at any one time" DOES: The present third party tense of the verb "to do".
  3. im thinking about taking the bate.....
  4. Time was, not so long ago, that when one visited this forum one could be assured of at least one good "flame war" with copious amounts of mud slinging going on. Nowadays it seems everyone has turned sycophantic. (I had high hopes for the spelling and grammEr thread, but even that petered out..........) What is the world coming to?
  5. Why all the comments about other GPS solutions? The guy has told us he has bought a 60CS with all the accessories. He is asking for hints on using it. PS B1gbear you have one of the best GPSRs on the market. Highly recommended by "veteran" cachers.
  6. Doesn't make his comment any the less pertinent though................
  7. I for one, think there should be more pinned threads. I can think of at least five:- 1. The "Previously answered thread" for all those posts relating to questions posed, and answered, many times before. eg "What PDA", "What software?", "WGS or OSGB datum" etc......... 2. The "I have no personal pride" thread for those posters who insist that correct grammar and spelling have no role in life. (Just let them try to apply for a job in which I have a say in the final appointment). 3. The "Flamers thread" for those self opinionated posters who like nothing more than starting trouble for those gullible enough to rise to the bait. (Mea culpa!!) 4. The "I have nothing better to do" thread for those posters who have nothing better to do and feel that they must reply to every post. 5. The "Old Timers thread" for those, like myself, who have been in this "sport" for some time and who still remember Waypoint Workbench as being the Dog's B******s, to discuss the real issues involving Geocaching. No responses required...........
  8. In the overall scheme of things:- SARS, Nuclear proliferation, World hunger, Genocide, etc, etc, does it really matter who is/claims the FTF?? (Or any other statistic for that matter) Get a grip folks - "It's only a hunt for a lunchbox"
  9. quote:Originally posted by SlytherinAlex:I know, but it's not as if you have anything else important to do. I dunno. I heard he was moving to Hampshire ........... Where's the boat go from..??
  10. An excellent example of "If it aint broke, don't fix it" 99% of caches placed here in the UK have been placed without the landowner's permission.......... Nuff said. Where's the boat go from..??
  11. quote:Originally posted by el10t:There doesn't have to be any rationale. ....... and you wonder why there was such a stink? Where's the boat go from..??
  12. quote:Originally posted by Richard & Beth:We were the ones to refuse it. I would say that Tim and June's statment about the terrorism rules is not strictly correct. There have been occasions when the rule has been used in the UK, but it is in general not applied as stringently as in the US, mainly because the security situation in the UK is different. In general the rules are applied to major infrastructure, rather than any bridge................ ............In general "we" consider the significance of the location, and whether people acting suspiciously around the location will cause problems. In the case of your cache it was on a major road bridge, so "we" requested it to be moved. Left hand, right hand?? And these people want to be OUR represenatives? Where's the boat go from..??
  13. http://www.navicache.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?s=3ebd5eb02dbfffff;act=ST;f=21;t=12 Where's the boat go from..??
  14. quote:Originally posted by golddust1000:Sig files are fine. Quite like them myself. But they really do need to be clean. There really is no need to make them crude, rude or offensive. Like the witty ones though Bob.... Hi Bob, I have just visited your web site and read all your interesting stuff about off roading. However, I do hope you do not encourage young, unsupervised children, or animals, to participate............??? Where's the boat go from..??
  15. quote:Originally posted by The Wombles:Caches do get discovered by unsupervised children. Do you have facts to back that statement up? Where's the boat go from..??
  16. As a "newbie" as I think you call us, I was interested to look at the forums and see "TB travelling" as the first topic followed by "Health Warning"..... Where's the boat go from..??
