  1. Would you post a note on a cache about it being located in a published gay cruising area? My question stems from looking for a cache that turned out to be in a park known for gay cruising but not by us until after we noticed some strange behavior in the parking lot and along the trail. The parking lot had 5-6 cars all backed into spots with a man sitting in each car by himself. Along the trails to the cache area we passed several men dressed quite well for hiking in a park and reaking of cologne. We also noticed several spray painted signs with not so kind remarks about this behavior. Having read some geocaching forum articles about similiar rest stop behavior, we came home and did an internet search on this topic and found this particular park listed on several sites. I also talked to a friend who grew up near the park and was told this particular park was the subject of several sting operations to try and stop this behavior. I am not asking this quesiton to debate this particular behavior but asking if the knowledge of this behavior in a cache area would prompt you to post a note to a cache or email the cache owner to see if they are aware of your findings?
  2. This has also been occurring with the GPX files I have been getting lately. Yahoo has been saying they contain a virus. I have been forwarding the emails as an attachment to my ISP email account and then rescanning them with Norton Antivirus and they have been coming up clean. There must be something within the GPX file that yahoo objects to as is metioned in the thread by GeoFool.
  3. I bought my Meridian gold from gpsonsale.com and don't have any complaints about their service. They did mess up and ship my GPS regular by ground rather than by the 2 day method I requested and paid for, but after a short email explaining the error I was refunded all of the shipping costs. Hope the info helps. [This message was edited by ka3mgh on September 29, 2003 at 04:38 PM.]
  4. I found the problem I was having, only being able to see one cache at a time on the map screen. The "Landmarks" box within the Tools - Settings - Map Features needs to be checked. Thanks for the suggestions.
  5. I am in the same area, Aston, PA. I haven't seen any caching organizations for the DE or Southeastern PA. The closest organization seems to be in Maryland.
  6. Has anyone come up with a way to get all of caches in a mapfile to show up on the map screen? Currenly I have only been able to get one to show up at time by using Maplet-Show Location-Picking a cache-Goto. Thanks
