  1. Yes, If the log is wet, log is full, container is wet, container has been chewed on , and a few others.
  2. Oh and by the way how is caching up in Fairport/Penfield lately? I am going to be up in Fairport in a few weeks! I think I have found like 12 in Rochester.
  3. If everyone gets the GPX file, it wouldn't give you any advantage. It might make the FTF happen 3 minutes earlier, but if someone else has a more efficient way to use the GPX than you, they will be the ones getting it. More generally, before setting out for the cache, Groundspeak would like you to visit the web site, where you can see the large JPG file which says "Warning: do not do this cache at night, even if it gets published at 1am" and the "not available 24/7" attributes, neither of which are in the GPX file. Plus it usually is faster to manually input the coords in that situation.
  4. We'll debrief next week on what happened and I fully expect that this is one of the things we'll set up. It won't be automatic, but some sort of easy and manual switchover to a site where we can give status updates is something we'll definitely want to do. Elias How was "The Liberator" doing during the outage?
  5. None of the PQ's are running. I sent mine 45 minutes ago and it still never ran.
  6. Shhhhhhhh Robespierre!!!! Don't post this topic on NCOG either
  7. As things stand at the moment, the short answer to this is ,,,, nothing A cache can only be "owned" by one preson, that is - it only shows on one persons acount. Yes, you can have two names but the listing will be only listed to one username.
  8. If you load one at a time do you get the info you would like?
  9. I turned 14 a little over a month ago. I have been caching since July, 07' I also have hidden 19 which is about the most anyone in my town has hidden. Everyone is amazed to meet me at events. Many people are surprised since I have great typing as they say...
  10. Maybe they are trying to re-apply some of the code changes since the roll-back right before the US Memorial Day holiday weekend and GW7? The site goes off-line as they upload code. They do it during the day during the week so if there are issues they can roll it back or attempt quick fixes. I am guessing, but that might be a good guess don't you think? I can only speak for myself, but here is my reality. I tried to get in to respond to this very thread (honest!) at 7:34 pm (all times in CST) This is NOT uncommon in the least. I would almost say that it is the norm here for the past month or more. I will frankly be surprised if this response doesn't time out as well. I am not trying to be a smart*ss here... and I do not wish to get scolded by the PTB again... I am only trying to help you guys see our reality. Some of us are here in an honest effort to assist other cachers and this is getting very very frustrating and we'd like something a bit stronger than "we're working on it". Thanks for listening. PS: I would be glad to keep more stats like the above if asked. Just got one. Took a screenshot. I will see if I can get it up on here soon.
  11. When I was first taught the rudiments of Web page design (quite a few years ago), it was drummed into me that every page with fields to be filled in should have a "Reset" button of some sort. It enables the user to start over from scratch if the need arises. Personally, I never saw the great need for it, but that's what we were taught. --Larry Yeah I have seen those horrible buttons on the web page editing wizards. The caching one is worse. I have gotten used to clicking the submit button on Geocaching listings that I am fine. It should be moved or have a comfirmation page after!
  12. That's Pathetic by them. Originally in Ohio it was talked about being banned from state parks. Someone spoke to the ODNR (Ohio Department Of Natural Resources) and they want as many caches as we can possibly hide in their parks.
  13. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...3a-82e062e57e27 The image is on Gc.com but not in his gallery.
  14. From what I have been told, PDA's don't like 64 lane highways. Only 32 lane highways.
  15. Do 'em yourself on Excel. It's time consuming, but if you have lots of time and don't want to spend money you can customize your spreadsheet to your heart's content. I was in the same position for about 9 months. The day I got my membership I ran that Finds PQ. Boy $30 bucks per year is worth it, mainly for PQ's so you can load caches into your GPS.
  16. All in the title. My link: http://img.geocaching.com/cache/25f6f555-4...9d749abe88a.jpg It's not in the owners gallery either.
  17. They will respond soon..... See heres one fro ma few months ago about a question!
  18. Once, you always poke it first and even flip it over if it does not move. Most just slither away when we see them.
  19. VZW navigator can show your coords. They aren't in Geocaching.com format though. As you move they change. No input for coords supported. I have an envy2.
  20. The Garmin Nuvi invades us too. My caches showed up the first time one was booted up. Could someone see if mine are on it? I am in Central ohio. I may have one show up called Don't Bring A Flashlight.
  21. Hi everyone! I wanted to know how the Rino 530HCx preforms for geocaching. I currently am using an Explorist 500LE for caching.
