We dont own one, is there not a bit of concern about using them to blind plane pilots, might this happen if someone was scanning around to fine a fire tack etc
-
I would want a warning, then its up to me if I decide to go or not.
-
I quite like them if they are clever or in a place only a nano will go.
-
Or another thought is if you use firefox there is a greasmonkey script you can use to get an os map on the cache page. details here on this excellent website. http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/ffscripts.html

I use this which you can upload waypoints to. http://wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm you can upload either gpx or kml, I use gpx from GSAK, but Im sure it would work with google maps as well.

We saved a life today while caching!
reddeeps replied to roziecakes's topic in General geocaching topics
Hats off to you for doing that, sad the final outcome, but at least she passed knowing somebody cared and she was warm and fed. -
Lovely picture and a beautiful dog. We lost our dog over the summer, but in the last few months he couldnt walk very far, but seemed to miss caching and used to go to the cache sack and sniff it, so over those last weeks we set a series called incachecipitated that were very short walks or drive bys, but hard finds or difffernet finds so he could still be involved. I miss him!

Is there a bookmarks list for drive-bys series
reddeeps replied to Gralorn's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
One series is the skeg to ness ones 200 odd from east to west coasts -
I second the Sheringham area, great views, a good variety of caches and a railway. I also love Wells, great if the dredger is there as well I like watching that, but also a beach and pine forests for some shelter if the weather is bad. link for dredger, I just like watching it park as its very tight. http://www.statoil.com/en/TechnologyInnova...ngCeremony.aspx

What sort of caches do you like, good walks, clever hides, something a bit different? Name your top priority and I'll have a think
-
We have part of a cache series which my daughter regulary maintains via pony. (does that count)
-
I presume they mean bath bomb, which is smelly so shouldnt be left anyhow
-
I agree this seems like its going to be a specific short term thing. Not geocaching at all. But still fun.
-
great news, will keep my fingers crossed for it drying out

Miss Jenn, we havent got the instructions yet, but I was hoping we might be able to list them on GC.com as well. Or will you consider it commercial? Couldn't we list them and just say something like part of the disney netmums fairy forage. Or just fairy forage and leave the disney bit out. Would be a shame for them not to get a wider audience.
-
great idea, I have places in mind, but bright pink may be difficult LOL Will pm you
-
Did they come via royal mail or courier?
-
still waiting for my boxes, post is always slow around here
-
Hi I have just got the same reply as above as well, so look out for some disney fairies soon.

Erm... It's a great cache (we did it last year) but: it's not in Warwickshire it's not accessible in November Mark Oh dear, I knew it was in Wiltshire, just misread the ops request. Serves me right for scan reading, as I was so busy planning a trip to Warminister then saw this and got carried away. Maybe I will now have to plan one to Warwickshire as well.
