  1. Hopefully it will turn up soon. Maybe someone forgot to log it and placed it in another cache without noting the tb number. I know how you feel tho' 2 of our bugs seem to be missing one at the mega event and one in a cache that has had lots of visits but bug not moved and another stuck in a cache abroad that needs climbing stuff, despite tb note saying to stay in uk. Its sad for the kids but I will release the copy tag if they dont turn up by the new year.
  2. These are waypoints, so on the main GC page down the bottom, you can search via waypoint.
  3. Mine is still logged at the event, I hope someone has him safe.
  4. I have only just started this, I bought a palm 31 zire from ebay for £10, paid for cachemate and GSAK (I'm sure the links are here) and used mark and lynns excellent guide to set it all up. I am rubbish with technology but it all worked first time, mainly thanks to mark and lynns guide. http://markandlynn.croaghan.com/Paperless_Caching_guide.PDF
  5. On the website Mckryton has provided you can complain and ask for a reply. I shall await what they say
  6. Hi I want to use a grid for a wordsearch for a new cache, but am struggling with getting it to display in the cache listing. I have tried creating it as a table in word and excel and copying it, but it only picks out the letters not the grid, please help?
  7. I love my myguide gps, running igo 8 software, works really well and is easy to get caches onto.
  8. Wow thanks for asking the question, we are going to Lymington on route to IOW so the ones near lymington that have been pointed out seem ideal for us.
  9. Had to happen sometime. I also realised I have been pronouncing caching wrong all the time, or the reporter did.
  10. That is sick, why would someone do it
  11. We like micros, well the kids do especially they are 10 and 6, they love hard and unusual finds. What they hate is a really large box thats virtually empty! They get all excited and open it to find some broken toys and a log book, far more annoying than a micro. At least with a micro you know what to expect from the cache page.
  12. I would do them, we like walking and caching is a bonus, we mainly see caching as a way of going places we would not otherwise know about and that in itself is often interesting enough for us. My kids both enjoy hunting micros and big boxes, so a trail of micros leading to a large box seems great.
  13. I asked for a data cable for my poor old garmin 12, to be told no way they dont keep them anymore, but they gave me details of a firm selling them for £20+ shipping.
  14. So sorry it has come to this, its a shame politics ruins everything. I hope you can get back to enjoying the hunt.
  15. I have seenseveral grass snakes in local woods, but last year came across an adder. We always have gardening gloves in caching bag and I will put them on now.
  16. I dont post here often, but OMG, surely this isnt what caching is about. There shouldn't be politics involved, I dont go to event caches as we do it just as a family activity, so I dont even read event logs. Surely if it is published then anyone can go get it. Please lets not ruin caching by being stupid, so what if they got ftf, does it really matter, nobody died!
  17. Many thanks for that will have a good read before I part with my cash
  18. Hi Does a palm have map on as well, or do you just download a word type doc. I am fed up of having tons of paper, especially if on holiday. As i print tons of paper off as not sure what direction we will go on holiday, so something that could hold a hundred or so caches would be great, even better if it had maps on so I could see the ones closest to where I was , as we only have a basic handheld gps that we have to input everything into. To avoid the input will a palm do it, or will I need a PPC.
