  1. I, too, am confused with the purpose of this designation. What does it mean? Is it just another way to name a cache (instead of XYZ Cache), or do I plug the designation in the GPS and it automatically comes up with the lat and lon? Someone clarify, please! PeachyPA
  2. As a female cacher, I never leave home without a bandana; they come in handy for so many things. That would be a useful item for me. Also, I really like the idea of earthtones for t-shirts as well; they are my preferred colors anyway. As previously stated, white shirts and caching don't mix well; and I dont wear black. PeachyPA
  3. Angela, I just received an E-Trex for my birthday today and tried it out without really knowing how to use it (found the cache anyway). On page 21 of the manual on the right hand column (not in the text) it indicates that you can edit your waypoint location. Maybe this is how to enter a destination? I'm just guessing as there is no indication for entering destination waypoints anywhere else in the manual. JMHO. PeachyPA/Punxsutawney, PA PeachyPA
  4. Another redheaded cacher here! I got started by my redhaired daughter Tigerain, a student now graduated from Penn State Univ. We did one together without a GPSr; I have done six without a unit and seven with a borrowed one. I have yet to get my own, but I'll get one soon. My favorite caching companion is my nine year old son, but now he rolls his eyes when I tell him I want to go find one. He enjoys finding the actual cache when we get to the co-ords. This is actually my second obsession; my first is quilting. PeachyPA
