  1. The CreepyCrawlyCachers coins are all activated under our account and are not to be sold. Trading is fine, though.
  2. A very good question that the CreepyCrawlyCachers will be following closely since the CCC is in this boat right now. As most know, the CCC is a trackable coin on GC. The CCC maintains ownership of all the coins. While you are free to collect one, or share it with the world, or simply move it along, there was always one thing that was against the rules with these coins. They were never to be sold*. Each coins page clearly states this with a sentence stating this. A couple weeks ago, a cacher claiming to need the money, placed one on eBay. It was an activated coin owner by yours truly. An email went to the person behind the auction, the auction was pulled, but the CCC never heard anything from this cacher. t was asked that the coin be placed in a cache and moved on. The CCC being overly trusting and naive, assumed this had happened and left it at that. A couple days ago the CCC became aware this coin had made it's way several thousand miles to another well known eBayer. It has also come to the CCC's attention, this coin is currently being shopped around for a big trade or will be sold on eBay. Since the coin's page has been changed to being a traditional geocoin with a mission to travel the United States, the CCC contacted the current holder and explained this coin was not to be sold and needed to be released into a cache immediately. The only response from the current holder was a note simply stating they paid "X" amount of money for this coin. Again the CCC has notified this cacher of the ownership of this coin. The CCC is limited to asking for the coin to be released or locking the coin's page. By locking the coin's page, it will take the value away to most. The CCC is curious as to what others do and seeking advice from the community. The CCC hopes the community won't accept this behavior and at least won't endorse it by playing into these action by buying or trading for this coin. * Some coins have been donated for various causes and the CCC retains this right to do so.
  3. I would say GO FOR IT!! CCC put this beauty out to be found, I'm sure they'd want this coin to have a good home!! Just MHO!! Good luck!! Let us know if you do go for it!! Couldn't have said it any better. Go for it!
  4. No witch's brew this time. If you look at the logs for coin #118, you will see that this coin seems to be traveling using cacher power instead of magic.
  5. If you have received a CCC geocoin, either in a cache box or mailbox, please "grab" the coin from the cache or the CCC. The tracking number number is on the edge of the coin. The CCC is continually updating the CCC's map, and this makes it much easier for the CCC to work their map magic. The CCC appreciate all of your kind words of support. Let the creepiness continue.
  6. The CCC would like to thank Bolingbrook Joe for bringing coin #263 to the CCC's attention. Unfortunately, the CCC had enjoyed a little too much witch's brew before logging that coin, and mistakenly entered the cache GC# as GC28 instead of GC128. The coin has been retreived and dropped into the appropriate cache. The CCC will be sending Joe his own CCC geocoin as a thank-you, and to say that the CCC is sorry for sending him on a wild coin chase.
  7. The CCC is overwhelmed at the amount of joy that has come from this coin. The stories that have been shared bring a smile to the CCC. But with every good deed, there comes a dark side. When the coin made it's first appearance, everyone was doing anything they could to get one. Now people have become more patient as they see coins are still being distributed. The coins can only be placed so fast. I mean seriously. How fast do you think a broom goes nowadays? Plus with the new restrictions by Homeland Security, a maximum of 3 coins can be taken across the border at a time. Anyhow, it only takes one person to ruin the fun, and it seems we have a one person. The CCC has tried to deal with this privately through emails, but the situation will not go away or stop, so it is felt there is no other recourse other than to ask the community at a whole to support the CCC's choices. Son of Cyclops has emailed many of you about trading a gaggle of coins for your one coin, or to buy it out right. The CCC asks that no one sell this coin ever. If you don't wish to retain it, then by all means please release it or pass it on. If you wish to trade it, that is your choice. The CCC has emailed SoC several times explaining not all coins are released yet and to be patient, since he doesn't even know whether he had a coin being placed locally or not. The CCC has gotten a multitude of emails from cache owners and cachers alike asking who this is asking them for their coin, or to check their cache for the coin. This has come from our friends over the pond as well as stateside. The CCC placed coins in Europe for our friends there, not for someone stateside to beg a cache owner to get it out and send it to him. The CCC has asked SoC to stop doing this for weeks now, but it has not stopped. Now it is being asked publicly. Please stop harassing these people for their coins, or to go get a coin from a cache and send it to you. Your greed is taking the fun out of what was meant to be a fun thing for the CCC. To the others, the CCC hopes you do not give in to his request, and instead cherish the coin for yourself. The CCC is not happy to be in this position and doesn't wish to ruin the fun or dampen the spirtis of those posting in this thread. The CCC hopes this will now be a dead issue and will not have to revisited again. The CCC is truly sorry for having to air this here, but it seems nothing else has worked, and ultimately the CCC wants the joy to be yours without the emails begging you for your coin. The CCC now returns you to your regular programing.
  8. Working on it, been a problem on and off for 2 days.
  9. Even though Halloween is over the creepiness will continue! MWAHAHAHAHA!
  10. Coins dropped in caches will be on the CCC map with a red pin, so key an eye open in your area. Let the creepiness cointinue. Mwahahaha.
