The biggest one for me is the sound but being able to do the maintenance would be really nice as well. I paid for the old app and it was fantastic - why can't one forced on me be nice as well?

I saw a post about a KC geocaching group but the link is broken. Anyone know of any others? I'm trying to find one that would hopefully have more people in their 20s like me.

I don't have much of a list: -Reach 200 caches this month hopefully! -Have fun (someone said that already and I love it) -Do more Earthcaches -Participate in the KC Battleship caches in my area (I've seen them but haven't decided to do the challenge until now) -Find someone else about my age who geocaches -Get a premium membership from the website since I have the app that is going away.

I have a point-and-shoot Nikon P90 because the upgrade after that didn't have good macro capabilities. Unfortunately, my camera is going downhill and is going to die soon. I just recently order a macro lens attachement for my phone for when I'm not carrying my camera and due to it wanting to die. Hopefully I can eventually save up for a new camera!

Now you have me wondering if the United States has any geocoin contests! I would love to design some. Beautiful job on all of these.

I've done "photo" transfers to flat rocks as well as other objects. I like making interesting swag so this is a neat idea though I wonder about how the wood would last as several people have mentioned.

Nice idea! I have troubles with that as well.

LOVE this thread! I hope to share some of my photos soon. I'm a hiker and photographer first and then became interested in geocaching when I found out about it and I love how it takes me to places I wouldn't have otherwise known about.

Thanks for the info! I just realized TB Hotels were a thing from a recent trip I had and am hoping to find more so I can release some trackables for their adventure.

Though the coins I've found, and have also been given be fellow geocachers at events, say to keep. Unless pathtags are different then the coins you're referring to. Other than that I had found a trackable marked as missing from several years ago. I'm still hoping to hear back from the owner as it was in a container but not placed in the app inventory. I found it interesting to find a missing one but feel bad that it went missing in the first place. I agree that with trackables, you have to go with the mindset that some people might end up keeping them.
