  1. Likewise. Even logged myself out from AL app, let my partner log there - but still there. In the end, I uninstalled the AL app from my iPhone - thus flushing the data cache. Once reinstalled, all is good. All the test (deleted via website) ALs are no longer there. Just the public AL that I've created. Lovely, but yes a cumbersome workaround.
  2. You go to a posted set of coordinates as a virtual spot. Cache description says how many others (geocachers or muggles) required to join you. Then you all open the linked mob cache to get the coordinates of Ground Zero where the actual cache is hidden. Great fun with fellow geocachers joining for the occasion or the day! Ditto for introducing new players. Or drag your family members and their phones for a lovely outing.
  3. hello fellow geocachers, Actively geocaching for only half a year so far. It is too late, I'm now addicted with over 730 finds (670+ caches, the rest being Adventure Labs). Deaf myself, and have introduced some members of the deaf & hard of hearing communities to this outdoor recreation sport / activity. Gave an introduction talk earlier this month, and have been asked to spread this to more people at other locations of Australia (might do this online as my homeland is too big to travel!). One of the reasons I did that was to promote deaf mental health postivitely. Double the rate of the hearing world, due to extra barriers of communication and more. That geocaching would encourage them to explore more of their local areas, by detouring off their usual route to work / school / college / shops. Small wins by making individual finds would help to build their self-confidence. I do tell them that many hearing people take up this activity for similar gains. Excited to head off to two Mega Events in Australia, in the next few months. Geotolerant spouse will come with me to one of these. Cheers, SurdiVisio
  4. Hello fellow geocachers, I've enjoyed discovering 2 of those mob-caches down under in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Would have loved to create one of these myself. I am sure that many more caches have ulitiised the external linked functionality at geotrailsw.com/mob/. Unfortunately that has now been retired, so I wonder if there are similar functionality out there? It would be a shame to have all these archived, or re-edited as simple caches. I only found out yesterday when one of the unvisited caches (where I was yet to log a find) was edited yesterday (by email notifications) to use a 3rd-party jigsaw puzzle to get the coordinates. A nice interim solution, but would like to have the mobcache option - to bring 2 or more people together. For me, it was a pleasure to meet a geocacher with over 40,000 finds when celebrating my 250th find. Ta, SurdiVisio
