  1. I'll be passing thru on my way from Seattle and plan to spend the day here. Anyone else who would like to hook up and cache together?
  2. Yes I did log a DNF..so did the cacher before me and the 4 cachers after me. It's been almost 2 weeks and this local cache has NOT been found.
  3. I hate going out after a new cache, spending 60-90 minutes in the woods searching every possible hiding spot within 100 ft of GZ with no luck. Then I come home to discover the the CO has only a few finds to his credit. Today the cache I searched for, had a CO with NO finds at all, not a single one. Part of it is my fault for not researching the CO's before I head out. But it makes a lot of sense to me, to require a minimum amount of caching experience before new cachers place their first cache. They would learn what size a 'regular' really is, terrain ratings, how to read coordinates and why they're important. Even if they've only made 10-12 finds, they have some idea of what this sport is really like. I don't want to make this elitist or discourage new cachers, but it wouldn't be hard to require 'some' experience. JMO
  4. A couple of my horse riding buddies started caching about 4 years ago. I thought it was one of the stupidest things I had heard of. I would sit on my horse (and hold theirs) while they searched, sighing and looking at my watch. Finally last year I got stuck actually looking for one with this group..and it was FUN. I was hooked and I now spend most of my free time caching. The rest of my friends think it is one of the stupidest things they have heard of.
