Okay, so I know how to project a waypoint, but I can only do it in miles or meters-- not too useful because most caches give you the ones in feet. We usually just do a rough conversion and get within 50 ft of the cache, but I was wondering if it is possible to put an Etrex into feet for waypoint projection. I'm probably just a ditz and missing something. Thanks, Molly

Hey, I'm new to Kansas and I want to put out some caches here. I'm also pretty new to putting out caches. I was wondering if anyone is familar with regulations in State Parks for putting out caches. The woman I talked to at the Clinton State Park office had no idea what I was talking about. But I know there are caches hidden there, so I was wondering how to go about getting permission. I'd also like to hide caches in other state parks. I want to hide caches in lots of places in the area, but in Lawrence, you have to fill out a form to put a cache in any park and it goes through an approval process- rather tedious. I'd love ideas. My boyfriend and I did not meet while geocaching, but it was actually his invitation for me to go with him to get his GPS that started our friendship. And then he started taking me caching. Because we were in an intense service program at the time, it was the only real alone time we got together, and it started our relationship. It's taken us a lot of cool places and on a lot of cool adventures together. It's neat to hear people's stories of how they met through geocaching, too.
