  1. I have been noticing that there seems to be more and more trackable items in the caches I find. It used to be a treat to find one and see where it had been. Now we regularly pass them by due to the shear volume. Do you think that in the near future we (the cacheing community) will want them to expire? Unless they are bugnapped or muggled they are like the energizer bunny, keep going, and going, and going !!!! What are your thoughts???

  3. Okay, I asked this earlier but did not give enough info, the cache I am attempting is Aim for the top. It is in Bethel CT, 06801. I would love some direction on how to do this. I have looked online for different conversions tools , but none of them seem to use this many digits? PLEASE don't give the answer, just point me in the right direction if you can. Thanks, any help is appreciated!!! CACHE ON!!!!!!!! AIM FOR THE TOP From here, do not attempt to chase GPS needle straight to cache site…steep cliff and swampy area gets in the way. Best way is to study topo maps and Google earth satellite pix to get a “feel” for this area. The cache site is near, but a safe distance away from cliff edge and painted rocks. One needs to solve puzzle in order to convert following to obtain cache site latitude and longitude. N = 735.7579 W = 1305.0669 A good calculator with lots of digits needed for best accuracy. Additional Hints ( Encrypt ) Decryption Key A|B|C|D|E|F|G|H|I|J|K|L|M ------------------------- N|O|P|Q|R|S|T|U|V|W|X|Y|Z (letter above equals below, and vice versa) [Hint for puzzle solving:] Aim for highest degree [Check sum:…… entire:…45 lat:.. 22 long:.. 23]
  4. Without knowing any more than what you've given us, it's hard to tell what it is you want to do. What cache are you working on? The cache is GC1AEXH,,,thanks for the help!!!
  5. I was not here for this "find" but it lives on in our cacheing group. My wife was out with a female friend doing a couple of caches. At one of them the other women found and picked up a "flashlight" ,,,But it was not a flashlight, it was another battery operated device! Similar size and all ,,,,she screamed when she realized what she was holding at tossed it by reflex,,,it must still be out there.
  6. HELP!!! I am attempting a cache that must be way over my head, it says that I need to use a calulator first to convert this to coords. I have looked online at various conversion methods and none of them use numbers with this many digits. My final coords are going to end up N 41 23 *** and W 73 24 ***. Any clues as to a method here? I don't really want it done for me,, just point me in the right direction!!!!!! Thanks, Ken the cache is GC1AEXH,,THANKS!!!!!!!
